Our Guest Inn and Suites - Downtown

Very disappointed,make sure you ask the right questions So disappointed!!! Booked a King room,noted prices same for vintage and standard room. We chose standard. I was so excited at checkin.The staff were very welcoming,lobby and building was pleasant. When shown where to park for access to our room,she pointed to a separate building,by the Wendy's driveway, This building looked like it was a former Motel 6 they purchased. In other words it is not what is pictured on the website! I felt as though we were mislead, and at a very pricey cost. This room should of been half the cost of the Vintage room inside the building you see pictured on their site with patio,pool,firepit! We had to walk across Wendy's parking lot to enjoy any of this! I will say the room we had was clean with the exception of very musty smell throughout room and the door did not have a good seal. It was very basic. This was not a good value for what we paid.

Disgusting filth and remnants of prior guest left behind that no one cared about. We had stayed with this Inn very recently (July 2023). We were given a room in an annex building behind the Wendy’s and it was awful. The placed was filthy. After getting out of the shower and walking to the bed, my feet were disgusting. The carpet is beyond filthy. I ruined 2 pairs of socks that I elected to throw away due to the black stains on the bottom due to the carpet. The bed was in need of a new mattress and the pillows needed to be folded in half to provide any comfort. We had found a dirty sock along the edge of the bed and need,Ed’s to say did not belong to either of us staying in that room.I had mentioned this upon check out and the individual working the lobby desk was not interested in hearing what I had to say, as she could not look me in the eye while I was speaking. This attitude instilled in me a company who takes no care of their property nor were they interested in being made aware of any issues that guests had in order to rectify the situation. I would not recommend this facility to anyone that I know.I gave this rating of “1”. Because the pool appeared to be usable.

Clean, comfortable hotel at a great price point The staff was very friendly, the room was clean. The keurig options in the lobby were really nice to have (I preferred flavored coffee) as opposed to just plain black coffee. We were there at the height of mayfly season, so we really enjoyed the informational flyer they had out about the mayflies! Lean into it, we like it. :) We had one of the jacuzzi rooms, which was wonderful after a long day on a motorcycle. The bed was VERY comfortable. Especially for the price, this is a solid hotel to stay at. Conveniently located near multiple restaurants and right by the lake.

Great weekend Just returned from spending two nights. Granted we didn’t spend a lot of time in room, but other then a tight space between bed and dresser we have no other complaints about our stay, If we would ever make this trip again would stay here again. Next time I would like room 108 with the fireplace. LOL

Stayed One Night for Walleye Festival Stayed here many times over the past 10+ years, usually 1-2 nights around Memorial day weekend. The people are super nice and the location is ideal. All in, 1 night on 5/29/21 was $225.99, which feels high to me. That is based on my view of market demand in the area (Port Clinton) and my previous pricing at this hotel. The TV in our room only had 1 station (local ABC) which was not incredibly convenient.
