Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Portage, IN

Great stay From room to lobby (where there was always free, good coffee!), everything was clean, fresh and well maintained. Sandra, who cleaned our room, was so nice. I asked her the next morning for a few more towels and she handed them right over. Sff dud a great job. Pool was nice and we had fun staying here. We were in room. 201, highway was close but traffic was not nearly as noticeable as with other places we've stayed. It is to be expected to have some noise but it was to bad at all! Great 2-bed suite with fridge and microwave and even extra storage for snacks and food. 2 cirbswr windows with nice view of landscape outside property. Very nice place for the cost. We will definitely stay here again if we return fur a visit to Indiana Dunes parks. (Eating and shopping also close by). Very happy with this visit to Countryside Suites by Radisson, Portage!

Home away from HOME We were here for the birth of our GRANDDAUGHTER. The staff was very accommodating and empathetic with the complications. They would ask about her in passing. Even the assistant General Manager, Yolanda and the front desk would ask how everything was going. The facilities were clean inside n out.

Beautiful property!! Front desk very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Obliged my last-minute request for a room downstairs and proximal to the breakfast bar and swimming pool. Room is spacious, comfortable and super quiet. Better than other rooms I've booked at twice the price. And both TV's have sleep timers (Yes, I am a Samsung guy) as I am not quick to fall asleep. Great coffee too!!! Will definitely be back.

Loud neighbors If you want to throw a party and invite 50 friends to stomp around all night, this is your hotel. If you want to sleep and then go enjoy local attractions, steer clear. The bed is nice, the sheets are soft, but there is no one working the front desk or security at 4am. Our light fixture rattles every time they move upstairs.

Nice place overall. I don't usually stay at Radissons. One reason is that I have a lot of points with Hilton. Another, is that twice in the past, my rooming got "mixed up." But at this location, nothing like that happened. In fact, I chose it over a nearby Hampton Inn based upon reviews of each. Was it worth it? Overall, yes. Only two things were negative, and they were minimal. You can judge how this might affect you. The tile grouting in my room (407) was in need of attention. I let them know, but it did not dampen my experience. The room was *very* quiet, including even the air conditioner...until about 5 a.m. Then I briefly heard muted talking and "bopping about,"like what you would hear if someone got up and was getting ready to leave. I did not report it, since it was brief, but it implies that either the walls are thin, or those particular people were unusually loud. Not sure which it was. Plus, this is a fluke experience. If I stayed there again, it is unlikely I would get similar people next to me, so I could be reporting that everything was perfect. Other than that, everything else was great; comfortable bed, perfect housekeeping, friendly staff, good breakfast, easy to get to, close to everything I wanted to do or see. Conclusion: I would stay here again if I was in the area.
