Equipment Air Shaft View Suite Positive: good location, close to tram station and city center. Although there are some homeless nearby but it can't be avoid in the most of places in the city. The interior are good and reception staff are nice. Negative: - if you're solo trip, the hotel maybe a good choice to book a normal room. - if you're family trip need more space to book the suite room, highly recommend you choose other hotels if you don't want see the equipment air shaft view in your room and air-condition and pipe noises around you. The reception said the suite are all faced to the equipment air shaft so there're no other choices. The second floor room is the only room available for me that day and there was no other higher floor options. Finally i had to cancel the next few days in the Lucia hotels and book another hotel but paid higer price due to short-time reservation. Highly recommend the equipment air shaft view should be marked in the booking pages website and the second floor room shouldn't be sale. I never seen the view like this even in New York or Hong Kong hostels. We booked Lucia because it's the no.1 recommend hotels in Booking and TripAdvisor. Very disappointed to see the air shaft view suite.

LOVE THE LUCIA I love this place. The staff were amazing and super friendly. Little touches like a free drink at five and free pinball always are nice. Great art in the lobby and throughout hotel. Close to books, records, coffee, pastry shops. This will be my go to hotel every time I visit Portland. Oh, and the beds and pillows are excellent as well.

Good vibes and quite nights in Downtown Portland Clean, quite, and great staff! I was only passing through and stayed one night, so I missed some of the amenities. If you’re tripping on staying in Downtown Portland don’t. No bad vibes, walked around at night after dinner at Departure, also recommended! Also great food and drinks within blocks, easy trip to Pioneer Square, Nordstrom, and an awesome French Bakery accesos the way! Buen apetito!

Quietest hotel experience downtown. This was the first time I was able to stay here but it absolutely won't be my last. The beds are comfortable. The staff is amazing and attentive. I have never stayed in a downtown hotel that was this quiet. Wonderful sleep. Highly recommend. Sidewalks and areas outside clean and safe.
