Splurge Worthy Hotel in Portland Fantastic stay at an elegant, upscale hotel. We particularly enjoyed the restaurants and the gym complete with a Pelaton. At first we were a little taken aback by the non-traditional entrance. You enter a hallway and have to go up the elevators to get to check in. But the valets Mark and Alex were so helpful and charming that it made up for the shortcoming of not having a traditional lobby with a doorman and bellhop to greet and assist guests. The hotel accommodations, food and service are splurge worthy.

Great valet! I visited The Nines today for a business meeting and Derek from Valet was so helpful. Thank you for the fantastic service. I am so glad that Portland has a hotel like the Nines where my colleagues and I can have a meeting and enjoy a great meal.

Worst Hotel Ever We are Titanuim with Marriott and the hotel confirmed our suite night awards. We were shown a room with no external windows over a very noisy restaurant/bar area. When I asked for a different room and noted our account states our preference for a high floor and quiet room, I was shown a room off the lobby directly behind the band. We had just flown in from a very long international trip, and I just wanted to sleep before some work meetings. I noticed there were other suites available on the Club Level and was told I would have to pay for an upgrade. We were given a standard room. The staff was not nice and did nothing to help us. This hotel should not carry the Luxury Brand name as we have stayed at many Marriott Luxury hotels and have received amazing service. The next few nights there were several suites available, but we were not given the option to move to one. Instead myself and two children were separated in standard rooms. The Director of Rooms told us she would be sending an amenity to our room, but nothing ever arrived. The last day we went to eat breakfadt and we arrived a few minutes late, The host told us he gave away our table and we could not eat breakfast even though he had multiple tables open. The front desk told us there was nothing they could do. The hotel is very poorly run, and does not meet the standards of a Marriot let alone a Luxury Collection. This was the most disappointing stay we have had in any Marriott property. We spent our 100th night here, and my regret is that we selected this hotel.

Fantastic hotel, our personal Portland fave Awesome visit as usual. Thomas at the front desk was particularly helpful in sorting out an issue with our reservation after we arrived. Rooms are impeccably clean and beautiful, valet and front desk staff are very professional. We've been coming here since the week they opened and always have a fantastic experience.
