Restaurant only review Visied the restaurant in the portrush Atlantic hotel with family, 5 of us in total including 2 children. The staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming and very quick to answer questions about allergens on the menu (I had to enquire as my little boy is dairy free). Everything was clean and tidy and tables well spaced out. It was however the quality of the food that let this place down. It was awful. I had chicken bacon and leek pasta which was borderline inedible, the meat was fatty and chewy and the sauce bland, watery and tasteless. 2 of our party had chicken goujons which weren’t great quality, garlic mayo didn’t even taste remotely of garlic and chips weren’t overly warm. My son’s tomato pasta looked literally just like tinned tomatoes and penne pasta. Even the jug of diluting orange we ordered to drink was really weak and unpleasant. It was such a shame as we were looking forward to a nice family meal and the staff were so nice but the food needs serious improvement.

Needs revamped The location of this hotel is good - and that is the only.good thing about it The decor is tired - and the room I stayed in was dreadful - if I hadn't prepaid I'd have left The double bed seemed to have a whole in the middle and the carpet had several worn out and dark stains and actually smelt bad The fire doors in the corridor are filthy - you can actually see dirty marks running down from the push pads Filthy - not worth the stay - find one of the b&bs in the area

Give it a go! The hotel is in a good location with some parking available! The reception day staff aren’t very welcoming or friendly! The night staff were much nicer(males) The hotel is fairly clean good size rooms and comfortable beds! Good bathroom also! Breakfast was great something for everyone. Once again the staff at breakfast were not very welcoming. The staff need customer service training! The people employed have no personality for working in hospitality! We ate in the restaurant one evening it was a tad overpriced for the standard of food. They were short staffed that evening but the guy in charge was excellent!! I didn’t get his name unfortunately but he was very good polite and engaging! He kept his cool even though he was over worked on that evening! You need more staff like him ‘

Restaurant only review This is a review of the restaurant only. Booking table easy + straightforward. No long wait for food to arrive. Some drinks arrived with ice, some didn't. Jug of water had no ice in it + hadn't been in fridge and was at room temperature. The guy bringing drinks to the table needs to pull his jeans up and invest in a belt - I didn't enjoy having a view of his underwear ! Waitress was very earnest + wrote order in detail + food arrived promptly. Unfortunately there had been no mention of how well steak should be done - so it arrived less well done than i would have liked. Personally I was disappointed with food quality. There was a strange taste off some of the chips. The pasta looked a pretty sorry sight. We've eaten during summer visits in this restaurant over the past few years but standards seem to have slipped.

Worst food I have ever had Worst food I have ever been handed!! Deep fat fried everything. I didnt allow the kids to eat their food. It was that bad! Staff didn't know if they were coming or going. They did offer to re do a pizza for the kids however we said no and just left. Even they were deep fat fried!!!
