Skip this one I'm a regular at Best Western properties. My experience with this one wasn't the greatest. The air conditioner in our first suite was broken, so we packed everything up and switched rooms. In our second room, the toilet handle was broken, but we were so tired at that point that we didn't bother changing rooms again. Both rooms smelled musty. The pool area was creepy and dark in the evening and the water was too cold. When we went to check out, my husband had to drag our large amount of luggage down the stairs because the elevator was broken. I mentioned these issues to the person at the front desk and he shrugged at me, didn't even bother to remove his airpods during our conversation and said he wasn't surprised things were broken. The pros are location and Bobby at the front desk is amazing. I would literally return just to hang out with him again!!!!

Don’t take the upgrade to a suite We were given a complimentary upgrade to a suite. Not sure what regular rooms are like, but there was only 1 small trash can in the room, which filled very quickly. Then, the shower leaked onto the bathroom floor, which we discovered was because the door didn’t shut all the way due to improper installation. Then, after one shower, the smoke detector went off. We tried calling the front desk from the room phone, but it didn’t work. Tried calling using a cell, and nobody picked up (around 10pm at night). Would not recommend this particular property.

Mold and filth in both air conditioner units in the suite The "suite" room was horrible. Sticky floors. Mold and hair and dead flies in the air conditioner vents (2). No frame on the glass shower doors so water went everywhere. The floors were sticky.

Convenient, clean, and helpful staff! Our team hosts a major event in the Portsmouth area every June. We house at least one of our staff members on site in the city, so they are able to easily be at events as needed. Our choice this year was to partner with the Best Western Plus and it did not disappoint. Our interactions with Mark, the GM, were kind, courteous, and professional. He answered our questions promptly. Upon check-in when an issue arose with the room initially assigned? The front desk staff responded promptly and relocated our staff member without issue. We really appreciated the hotel's convenient location to so many things in Portsmouth, and the attentive staff. We will happily use this property again for our organization's needs, and recommend it to others. Thank you, Best Western Team!

Where the heck am I? The reservation desk upon arrival was wonderful. The Gentleman at the desk was helpful and pleasant. Then I drove around the corner to find my room and I thought I was at a dump. Grounds were not taken care of, paint chipping of the stucco exterior, curtains in windows hanging off the rods. It was a disaster. Toilet had urine on seats, dirt in the corners, couldn't see out the windows from filth and the window sill was written on. oh- and the smell???? Dirty people smell. It was terrible!! No beautiful Portsmouth charm here! The location is helpful and the attached diner is great- but..... you won't catch me back here again! I forgot about the price- what a joke! Almost $600 for two nights of this place. Rip off
