DO NOT STAY HERE UNTIL ITS RENOVATED Stay far away from this hotel. I am a HUGE Hilton fan and greatly disappointed with this hotel. We asked THREE times to have the MOLD cleaned in the shower and it was never cleaned. The bedding on the beds and chairs in the room were threadbare. When we asked for new bedding, the front desk told us since we were only staying for two nights they couldn't change our bedding. There's a sign next to the elevator that states the Hilton guarantee and it made me laugh each time I walked by it.

STAY AWAY! Terrible customer service, the room was in awful condition- mold in shower , stains all over the carpet , torn carpeting , the list goes on. The icing on the cake was that the valet smoked weed in our rental car . We have been trying to get a response from Troy, the GM for 3 days . We called Hilton and they escalated the case but still no response . Stay away , don’t waste money on this overpriced hotel!

Would stay here again Spent a night here in late August. First time at this property. Location very good for walking around Portsmouth, going to shops and restaurants. Parking is very over priced. Breakfast was typical HGI buffet, no cooked-to-order, but was fine and staffed well. No street noise inside. As expected in an HGI as far as the room. Room was quiet and able to sleep well. I would stay here agan if I had to be in Portsmouth.

Skip this location go down the street to The Hampton Inn & Suites! Customer service is terrible. The assistant GM & front desk need to be retrained. I know times are tough but don’t be in the industry if you’re in-cable of being professional and work with people. The property is outdated, not well kept and dirty. The location of the hotel is great, we actually ended up booking at The Hampton Inn 2 minutes away and it was much better! Do yourself a favor and skip this property.

Disappointing Stay I booked my stay through hotels.com. When we arrived to the hotel room, immediately we noticed a strange smell, the bathroom shower was grimy, the curtains were ripped and the bathroom toilet back flushed constantly. I spent $300 for one night stay and I was horrified about the condition of this room. It was a handicapped room and I feel awful for people with handicaps that have to use this room. A complete disgrace. When I went to take a shower the next day, they didn't even leave me any towels for showering. The only positive attribute to the stay is the easy access to the city.
