Excellent wedding venue The Chauncey was the location for my son's wedding. Absolutely better than I could have imagined. To start, Rebecca the wedding coordinator is outstanding. She handled everything from start to finish. She was easy to access and was able to change things as needed on the spot. Her staff also great from setting up to breaking down..They even took careful concern to box up all of our wedding centerpieces. The Laurie house is an absolute must if you are having your wedding here. It was a great place for the wedding party to stay and it gave us full access to the grounds to allow the wedding to spill out onto the grassy area for corn hole and fire pit. Having the house was super convenient for rehearsal dinner and for prepping the day of the wedding, The food at the wedding was great. Large portions for a wedding. Cocktail hour ran smoothly with plenty of food. The DJ has to set up on a side stage so the speakers were set back from the dance floor--it definitely was difficult for people seated on that side to hear (especially with hearing aids). I honestly think that is the only downfall from the reception. We did host rehearsal dinner here. We opted for the casual barbecue. There was another wedding going on and I think that impacted the staff and food for us. The food for the dinner was all cold -but there wasn't really anyway to correct it--it was what it was. The actual staff at the hotel were super kind and considerate. I did get some negative feedback from guests when they called the hotel from whoever was answering the phones but nothing at the hotel itself. They offer a full breakfast (eggs, bacon. sausage. fruit, yogurt--everything)--and I think there were snacks in the afternoon. The rooms were pretty standard but comfortable-no issues. The hotel does allow pets so you could potentially run into a yappy dog

Chauncey in Princeton is a reasonable accommodation. We loved it Great location. Get a rental car if you need to move around. Ambiance of the facility is five stars. Staff are polite and sweet and helpful. No recycling. I can’t believe they don’t have re-fillable shampoo, conditioner and soap !!! Mother Earth is getting overwhelmed with useless plastic. The place is nicely priced for a spacious room. But very dated. The ground are beautiful- we took long relaxing walks _

Comfortable and elegant This hotel, a bit of a drive from the center of town in Princeton, offered a comfortable and elegant stay for my husband and I on a two-night getaway. Our room was airy and spacious, with a loft-type ceiling and tasteful decor. The heated salt-water indoor pool was welcome after a day of running around, and so was the comfortable lobby (with fireplace and comfy chairs) and bar. The included breakfast featured made-to-order omelets and a very kind and attentive staff. Maybe because our trip was at a time of year when little was going on, we got an excellent room rate. We were surprised and pleased at every step of our stay. I had read some negative reviews about the property needing an update, but the facilities we encountered were all relatively new, stylish, clean and comfortable. If we are in the area again, we'll book at the Chauncey Conference Hotel again.

Beautifully appointed with a warm welcome Our stay was a true delight, enhanced by so many cozy gracious corners scattered throughout the hotel in which to sit undisturbed with a friend or a book. Also notable was the unusual genuine warmth of every member of the large staff. One disappointment - the menu for dinner at their on-site restaurant offered limited not very tasty veggie fare. We’d certainly re turn, but eat in Princeton, 10 minutes down the road.

Beautiful location that needs a deep clean Beautiful location and friend staff. The food was delicious as well. Unfortunately the entire hotel needs a deep deep clean and a major update. This could be an easy 5 out of 5 stars with fixing those two things. The hotel is away from most things which is very nice for relaxing but makes visiting town requiring more work and takes more time.
