Disappointed traveler Place is outdated and run down Needs major renovations . Room - was ok - sheets and curtains very old Bathroom moldy and has a sewer smell. Doorknobs are loose and half broken. Safe completely broken (the one in my room) Dinning - food ok - but very limited options Tables and chairs very old and some really need to be replaced. Decor looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years - very dusty. Pools - pool side chairs old and moldy Los coco Pool area needs more cleaning - too much sand around and in the pool. Not well kept Beach towels supper old - need new ones The place has potential - need major renovations and more staff to focus on keeping this place clean. Not worth the price I paid - I have paid less in other resorts and get my moneys worth. Not coming back here

Nice hotel to visit! This hotel is good for the price we paid. The beach is at walking distance and there is a shuttle service available in case you don’t want to walk the stairs down to the beach. I am glad we purchased the breakfast included. Hotel does need a bit more of maintenance but it is expected due to the location.

Nightmare on Blvd. Benito Juarez The grounds, pool and beach were top notch but unfortunately that's where it ended. At our request we were assigned rooms ground level with an ocean front view. There are no elevators so we had to lug our suitcases down several flights of stairs. Once inside our rooms there was a musty smell, the sheets on the bed were stained and smelled dirty. We unpacked, turned the air conditioner on and left to check the facilities. Once back the room was still hot. The air conditioner blew only hot air so maintenance was called in. No solution and we were assigned another room. I complained about the inconvenience of repacking and was informed a manager would talk to us about some form of compensation. That never happened and when their front desk receptionist were advised they feigned ignorance. The bathroom was dirty and the caulking around the shower stall was filthy. The mattress couldn't have been changed in twenty years. We were bitten by bed bugs. The common facilities open and close at destined times. Need I say more?

Won’t rebook The wifi never worked, the rooms smell like humidity, and the staff does not provide solution. I won’t be rebooking here. One thing I did like was the location. I still a great time outside the hotel and recommend visiting Pto Escondido. —-Melissa

Not what it seems. Read this and see these photos for an accurate description. This hotel is so run down that I’m baffled as to how it is still operating. In my opinion the positive reviews are illegitimate, if you order by latest reviews and the lower ratings you’ll find what I wish I had read before we booked here. In summary, the hotel reminded me of the places I would stay at when I went backpacking on a shoestring 20 years ago. So on arrival as a family of 5 for a week-long relaxing break from London, we were mortified to discover the state of the hotel and the adjoining beach club. Think mouldy plastic sun loungers (all of them), soft drinks served from a 4 litre bottle which was flat, cracked mugs and tables, mouldy showers and grouting in bathrooms (we had two rooms and both were similarly bad), damaged walls, bobbly, stained and grey bedsheets and tatty grey towels..to name a few of the issues. In addition to the bad state of the property, the service was abysmal. No beach towels left at the beach club, no tables for breakfast available (told to just wait), used drinks from others left outside our room all night and day, indifferent staff when I complained. We awoke to a loud scratching sound in our room which turned out to be a big crab fiddling with the electrical wires! When I demanded it be removed the staff did nothing until I complained to the manager. This hotel was so poor on every level that it bordered on comedy; it was simply unbelievable given how it presents itself on its website. The website photos are extremely inaccurate and misleading, as can be seen from my attached photos. For example, the “putting green” was so old and decrepit that it was not possible for the kids play with. We promptly left after one night (I will be seeking a full refund) and checked into the hotel next door (VillaSol) which thankfully had availability, has been very good and has an absolutely fantastic beach club- and is CHEAPER than Posada Real!! The fact Posada Real charges the prices it does is pretty much fraudulent! So save your money and your holiday and go next door.
