From a current visitor: Way better options exist I'm not sure where to start. I've frequented Mexico at least a dozen times and stayed at various all-inclusive properties. I'm on day 5 at this property with my family and this is perhaps the worst experience I've had, suffice to say I will never return to this property or associated ones. 1. Check-In: Understandably, when you arrive early, you should not expect to have your room ready until the expected "ready time". The preferred concierge explained we'd have to wait until 3. One room was ready on time and wasn't visibly clean. The couch was damp from end to end (and not the remnants of after pool goers) like it was just power washed or so. 2 days to dry. The second room wasn't ready until 4:30 despite constant promises of "15 more minutes". The jacuzzis on the balcony of the premium suites constantly leak and rather than fix the issue, they paint the roof of the underneath balcony to hide the issue. So we were waiting for paint to dry.... On holiday.... 2. Room Cleaning and Room Service: Room cleaning does not occur daily like regular hotels. We have to explicitly request 3-4 times a day, via phone and then usual followups through the preferred lounge case concierge (more on this later) just to get someone to clean the room. The level of follow-up for these basic expectations is simply insane. Both room service, housekeeping and concierge go dark for 30-45 minutes at a stretch during peak times(11 am, 5 pm, not talking middle of the night). The bleak sound of a ring with no answer is constant. When you finally reach someone/anyone that will pick up, there is no service or concern, if you are lucky, your cup of tea will reach an hour or so later, of at all --- far beyond the promised "couple of minutes" Butler and Concierge for Preferred Guest: Literally pointless. They offer no help or escalation to any needs after check-in. There are no restaurant reservations (see next point) and so you are left to your own devices Restaurants: Food is subpar compared to other locations. Every restaurant indicates a 40 minute wait and you are provided a buzzer. Actual time can range from 20 minute to a one hour wait. The Spice restaurant is supposed to be the best and they advertise taking reservations at 3:15 if you attend in person. However, the queue begins at 2 and reservations are usually done shortly after, so getting in line even at 2:30 yields no benefit. 3 attempts and no luck at getting a table. This begs to question the purpose of "preferred concierge" or Butler service since you get literally nothing for this l, except for a separate check-in location and some premium spirits at an exclusive lounge. The lineups are maddening, with all restaurant's having empty tables and a single individual greeting guests in the line, seating them, and then returning 5 minutes later to gather the next in line. The list can go on but suffice to say, there are far better resorts that care about customer experience at a far less rate. Avoid the stress and do your research before booking

Birthday dinner delicious We chose Dreams Jade to celebrate my 70th birthday with family and friends - a group of 34 and ages ranging between 1-75yrs. We arrived at the hotel at 7.30pm and were checked in immediately as our rooms were all ready. Check was efficient and conducted in the preferred lounge as we all were preferred customers . Our group included 3 children so parents had the choice of either going to the main pool or the beach as children were not allowed at the preferred pool. This was convenient as it allowed people with a choice if they wanted a quieter pool and swim-up bar. The resort with beautiful gardens and facilities is situated in a great location. Rooms, gardens, food were all awesome. I went to all the restaurants and they were good and conveniently the Buffett was opened for breakfast, Lunch and dinner every day we were there. As early starters we would visit the beaches and Ocean-every morning sometimes watching a man cleanup the seaweed and beach with a tractor. We had rain one night and the paint on the ceiling got wet. We reported it before breakfast and after breakfast we went back to our room and found it was dealt with and cleaned. Shout out to a friendly gentleman named Tomas who was on the beach and always stopped by to ask everyone if they needed a drink. Preferred Club lounge-Paula on the front desk dealt with any queries swiftly and promptly. Room attendant-Claudia we did not ask for anything and room was always cleaned with all the amenities such as towels etc For entertainment -the Mainpool was lively and full of activities so I joined the Zumba class and water aerobics in the pool. I did not join the Volleyball in the pool but my son did. I did not do the Learning to dance . Preferred Pool- Bingo and I won a big mug. I stayed more in the sea and the beach than the pool . For my Birthday Dinner the food was delicious and the table setting was excellent. The waiters on my birthday dinner party did an excellent job . A big thank you to Xochitl who arranged it all asking all the right questions as to how I wanted it to be I was a seasoned world traveller that is now beginning to slow down since 2020 .

Dreams Jade July 2024 Our stay at Dreams Jade was very nice. The resort was very clean and the rooms were kept clean by housekeeping staff throughout our stay. The staff is very friendly and made our stay very enjoyable. I would like to say that the following people were amazing; Oscar and Jamie at the lobby bar and the bar at Spice, William (Capers), Antonio (Spice), the sushi chef at spice, Argeo (Tamarindo), Eduardo (Mercure), Jesus, Leoncio, Jonathan (Carnival), Yuri (preferred club) and Armenis (not sure I spelled this name correctly) provided us excellent service. Rodrigo at UVC was very helpful as always. I want to mention Luna also. Unfortunately, I can’t remember the names of all of the other people that made our stay wonderful. There were several servers at the bar by the preferred pool that provided excellent service. I thank all of them for the service. One disappointment was the number of palapas on the beach on the preferred side of the resort. A few years ago there used to be three rows of palapas. The past couple of years there were two rows. This year there was one row with a few in a second row. All of the beach chairs were lined up in a long row touching one another. This configuration pushed people in close proximity to each other and made it seem very crowded. Is the resort going to add new palapas to the beach on the preferred side? It would be nice to have at least two rows of palapas to provide some shade on the beach. Hopefully, there will be next year. Another change this year that seemed puzzling. There was a person in charge of handing out towels at the preferred pool. I can understand the documenting of room numbers if you want to make sure the people using the pool are in preferred rooms. If not, I question the scrutiny. I compare this to the family pool and kiddie pool. The folks handing out towels sometimes documented room numbers but did not always monitor who was taking the towels. I guess it just felt weird to have towel police at the preferred pool but no problem getting towels at the family pool. My comment is now about any of the workers. It is about the process change that Dreams Jade implemented. What improvement did this change accomplish? One other change that has taken place since Dreams Jade initially achieved 4 diamond status. There is no longer the variety of premium liquor at the bars as there was when the resort was trying to achieve the 4 diamond status.

Review from a Preferred Customer Experience We are seasoned all-inclusive travelers with many trips to Caribbean destinations so we are probably more critical with our review of Dreams Jade than the typical tourist. Overall, the resort is beautiful, clean and staff were both friendly and approachable. Being preferred customers made our stay a touch more special especially regarding the fantastic rooms, bars and eating places. Shoutout to Antonio and Jesus, bartenders at the preferred swim up bar and Maria in the preferred lounge. Cocktail mixes were exquisite - especially the Palomas, MyTai's and Superman's. Food on the resort was plentiful and generally good with the only disappointment coming from the restaurants such as the Mexican and Chinese. We found the Buffett and Italian restaurants were consistently the best places to eat and had the tastiest variety of breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The grill places close to the swimming pools on both the preferred and non--preferred side provided great burgers, fries and chicken wings in between the main meals. The one drawback with the popular Buffett restaurant was the long waiting lines to get in that we had never experienced with other destinations. There were decent shows every night and a late-night sports bar but the resort could do with a lively night club and disco for us energetic late-night revelers. All in all I would give Dreams Jade a 4/5 recommendation, however we do think they need to introduce wrist bands to differentiate preferred from non-preferred customers as we felt the system is open to abuse.
