Beautiful Trip Spent this week at Canto Del Sol and it was wonderful, it is older Mexican feel with beautiful landscape everywhere. There are multiple pools and places to eat and it’s right on the beach! The daily activities were amazing with Jorge and Alejandro, they made us laugh and the atmosphere was great! Tons of Canadians to connect with and locals :) would definetly return! Thank you!

Great experience We came in December with our family we had a fun time with all the activities in the hotel we had a good time with Alex and Jorge. I definitely recommend they had good food, clean rooms and good security. The hotel is very close to the beach which was a plus.

Great Resort in Central Puerto Vallarta I am from Canada and stayed at Canto Del Sol with my boyfriend for 11 nights. Overall it was a great time and we had everything we needed to be comfortable. That said I think there are a few small things the resort could do to bring it to the next level. This is a very Mexican resort unlike others in the area that are very Americanized. All the staff spoke in Spanish first. We loved this as we want to visit the culture when we travel so for us this was not a problem. Our room was in the luxury section and we loved it. Having two full bathrooms was fantastic. Showers were amazing! The pools always had lots of chair availability. We spend most of our time at the luxury pool but all of them seemed to have plenty of space. We loved the tennis courts and took advantage of our 1 free hour a couple of times! The beach is great and walkable in both directions. There are plenty of food options - you will not go hungry! We did eat off resort out of personal preference and because there are so many great restaurants in PV - but eating on the resort is no problem either. Our favourite was Mar Tierra. I also really enjoyed the Ceviche restaurant but try to go in the later afternoon as it is always very busy! Some things to note and suggestions for improvement. Be aware that if your resort bracelet comes of it will be 500 pesos, and if you lose a room key it's 200 pesos. I'm not sure what else you have to pay for but these types of things aren't typically charged for at resorts I've been to. The luxury section includes Room Service but the first two times we tried nobody answered (despite multiple attempts). When we finally did get through the lunch arrived cold and terrible - very different from the food we'd experienced on the resort. But then we decided to try one more time before we left and it came out amazing! If they are going to offer room service as a perk they should make it more consistent. I also think some additional perks for staying in the luxury section would make it a better value. Perhaps even something like more wine and liquor options would go a long way. Overall I don't think this resort should be marketed to couples - it was very much a family resort with a ton of kids. I would highly recommend this resort to families - especially families whose kids are in Spanish emersion as it would be a great opportunity for kids to make friends and practice their Spanish! Thank you to all of the friendly staff who helped make our stay great!

Had an Excellent Stay, thanks to all the wonderful staffs and Manager. We had 2 rooms booked, great view, patio facing the pools, and the beach. The staffs are wonderful. We didn't like the room Expedia booked us in, when we go back to the desk clerk, they got us a very nice room with a wonderful view, no complaints. Many stores close by, walking distance. The hotel is on the beach area. The foods were great, but just 2 Al carte restaurants, Italian and Japanese. The Manager is wonderful and try his best to get everyone comfortable at the hotel. The evening shows were excellent, in the Lobby and the Beach stage. The Mexican show with dancers was great, I enjoyed that. I really missed it when I left. Would surely go back there sometime. Most of all missed the staffs, during the breakfast, lunch & dinner. I had a great experience at the Canto del Sol.
