Old time charm, well kept Nice property well kept. One Buffet restaurant and a nice little sit-down service restaurant. The buffet changes slightly daily. The restaurant has one set menu with at least three four choices in the appies, main and desert. The property has the old time charm but it's very clean and well kept nice Gardens. Pool is nice but, maybe too much bleach. This hotel is about a block away from the bay and the beach about 5-10 minute wal, but shuttle available. They have a bar and chairs on the beach. The staff are very good unfortunately most of them don't speak English so a little hard to communicate. Special thanks to Alfredo Bobadilla for courteous service. This hotel is in the city surrounded by restaurants, malls and the cruise port all within 10-15 walk. On the main road, so can catch the local busses. Suggestions to owners: encourage more English to staff. Have signs indicating the menus and activities for the week or 2, so we can plan our day better.

Exceptional Service! The service was absolutely wonderful. Everyone was very warm and kind. The hotel is a beautiful Hacienda with gorgeous landscaping. The food is great and so is the coffee! Location is great because is very close to the Airport and also close to Malecon.

Great for families but not for tranquility This was my third trip to this hotel. The amazing staff and price lured me in for the third visit. The place is very clean (although older and some repairs would help) and grounds well kept. I read one review that said bugs were all over but in my three visits, I never saw a bug except one mosquito outside. The buffet is inedible! I've never seen such an awful buffet. The breakfast made to order eggs and the specialty restaurant is good. This is a great place for families, but if you are looking for peace, tranquility, and rest, as I was, this is not for you! The bed was uncomfortable and the temperature was too warm for me at night. There are no individual controls. The pool area lacked shaded areas and while I was trying to relax and read, a beach ball was constantly hitting me from the pool. Also they pressure washed the sidewalks for almost 4 hours and the bar music is very loud! I went to the beach to get away and the locals were relentlessly pandering goods. Of course this is expected and they want to make money. But when someone is asleep with a shirt over their eyes, they clearly don't want to be disturbed and the hotel could attempt to discourage this but don't say a word. The final straw was that they gave me a late checkout one hour after the standard time but my flight didn't leave until 5 pm. I asked the desk if I could check out and stay for lunch. I was told twice that I could not. Upon checkout, the manager was there and asked me if I wanted lunch. I told her what I was told about not being able to stay and she said that was a miscommunication but at that point, the damage had been done. It is a charming little place with excellent staff but the negatives were too much for me as a solo traveller who wanted quiet.
