Disappointing Experience All-inclusive very expensive for the quality of food. The resort is fabulous, but the service is lacking promptness. The room was a little small and the construction of the shower caused massive amounts of water leak the bathroom floor. We had to use three towels to collect the water. The specialty restaurants were very good, but the buffets were unacceptable.

Everyone got sick! I have never written a review in my life. I am by no means a picky person. I am writing this review to warn future travellers of this resort. Be wary of the food here! My whole family got sick from the food. A lot of nausea, diarrhea, and stomach pains. We are frequent Dominican/Mexico resort travellers and never have the problems we’ve had here. If you do come, eat simple food without sauce or dairy or anything you may think could make you sick. Avoid the ice cream. We ended up sticking with fresh grilled options, rice, bread. Even the oil here is heavy on the stomach and seems extra in the food. The best part of the stay were the beds. They were comfortable and the sofa bed was the best we’ve had for the kids. The washrooms are dated, but it’s not a big deal. Night life seems to die out once the show finishes at 10:30. If you’re looking for a party, I’d say this is not the place to go. You’ll definitely be bored. I would never ever come back. You pay all this money and you can’t even enjoy the vacation because you’re sick half the time. When you aren’t sick, you don’t eat the food because you worry you’ll get sick again.

Glad to be home This place is awful. Greeted on arrival by a very rude man at front desk who checked us in, refused to give us 3 rooms we booked (large party) my son started crying after a long flight and all the excitement to be greeted this was is utterly disgusting. The man on the desk told him to stop crying!!! Eventually we managed to to get rooms we had paid for and was taken to them. All wrong not the correct amount of beds for the people so we roughed it for the night due to the late arrival. We complained in the morning about the lack of beds for 2 people in the group and was moved 24 hours later. Still not enough beds but by this point they’d lost one of our cases and we’d wasted hours waiting around in the rooms we mentioned it a 3rd time and was told there’s nothing more they could do. The staff except for one or two are rude, unhappy and generally make you feel like an inconvenience. The rooms are falling apart, bathrooms had problems with hot water and generally quite tired fixtures coming off the walls lights flashing, wires hanging out etc. they need a bit of tlc for sure but they are generally clean. Food is the same everyday and your lucky if it has some warmth, the restaurants If you manage to book are a waste of time. Also some guests have yellow bands which I’m presuming is some kind of premium thing because they are treated much better by staff. My best advice in buffets is to check the bread because sometimes it’s mouldy and also check the chicken before you eat it sometimes it’s raw inside. The beach is nice if you’re happy to be harassed the whole time every 2 minutes by vendors they will try and sell you everything including drugs. And if you think you can escape this by going to the pool, well you can’t because the hotel allows them to set up around the hotel. If you refuse to buy they can be very rude even to younger teens.its a forceful way of selling. If you book trips avoid Saona island waste of money for 1 hour at a packed beach with a dreadful lunch and nowhere to sit

Grand Palladium Punta Cana Overall, the vacation was good. The ground of the hotel well kept. The beach was excellent, minimum seaweed, it was always cleaned well if there were any. The food was good. The transportation was always available when need a ride between lobbies of the hotels or back to your hotel room. We were able to make reservations to most of the a la carte restaurants. We made reservation through a travel club member. When arrived, were given VIP travel club bracelets the reservations were made for 4 adults. We had two teenagers 18 yo. One of my kids had trouble getting in to her room. So we went the travel club concierge to fix it. What they did is stated she is a minor and it was a mistake. They change her bracelet for a minor. Because of their mistake, we were not able to go to Kusko special restaurant. It was very disappointing. The manager at Kusko was rude, unprofessional. Sounded like we have small toddlers and they would ruin the dining experience for everyone else. He would not make an exception. He pretended to call someone, but it was all to make it seem he is trying to help. The staff hardly speaks English and it very hard to communicate. I do understand when the made staff doesn't speak English, but Travel club concierge or restaurant manager? That is ridiculous. We did have two connecting room. One room had sewage smell. Had to call for maintenance, but cleaning made came to bring more towels instead. The maintenance person never showed up. When raining, the water got to the room from the balcony. The drainage system needs to be fixed, because water kept rising instead of going away. The bed in the second room kept breaking from one side to another. It was somewhat fixed. The fridge was not working, all the beverages were warm. Had to unplug one of the lamps to turn on the fridge. I would like to recognize Oscar, the golf car driver. He went above and beyond. Provided his WhatsUp number so we can text him if need a ride. When checking from the hotel, we asked a bellboy to come to get our luggage, guess what, never came. If it was not for Oscar, we would be late for our ride to the airport and our flight.
