Fabulous return visit First time back since the refurbishment in 2023. Lovely to see so many staff still working there. The service at this hotel is outstanding. Most of the refurb changes were improvements but I, personally, preferred the old buffet restaurant but that has been reduced in size to accommodate the separate restaurant for Elite customers. Elite Club is something Riu Hotels have recently introduced but - again, my personal opinion - is an overpriced whim. Riu Palace Macau is a wonderful hotel and I have already booked to return in 2026.

Girls Trip The Resort was nice, very quiet. The setting is more for older people and couples. Not enough entertainment. We did not like our room the location location at first. When we looked our our patio it was construction and dry grass. The young lady at the desk was so nice she moved us to a very nice room. Looking straight over the resort and Beach. I was so upset with the Manager on duty. During the move I realize I left my charger plugged in the wall I called the desk and walk over to the room. I was told housekeeping is there she can give it to you. Long story short, she claims is was not there. I go to the desk to see if they brought it to lost and found. I ask for the Manager on call , because now I think this so pity a charger. Manager says we have no lost and found, so where is my charger its only been 30 minutes during the move. Your housekeeping ate allow to keep visitors belongings? She was so rude _ it was like I dont what to tell , she said she dont have it. The manager had no_ people skills very unprofessional and not occomadating and no compassion at all. The manager said, well she is not getting fired. I said where did that come from. I did ask you to fire anyone. We are talking about a 20 dollar charger. The manager was very irrigate with no understanding of a customer. I jyst walked away. I had to borrow another girls charger on my visit. We had 40 people in our group. I visit Riu properties often, would I come back to this one. We stayed at the Republica 4 days before checking in here. I loved it. I would never stay here again or recommend anyone. I don't like the way the Manager handle the situation. It was like if you leave your belongings we keep them not responsible. I felt so devastated.

Bland Stay Came for a quick birthday getaway and I wasn't impressed. For an adults only resort it was pretty dull. I've read reviews on other sites where they complained that the music was too loud. Now I have excellent hearing and this place was pretty quiet. The rooms were nice and the staff were friendly. However, the restaurants were not that impressive (except the Asian restaurant). The entertainment was pretty lackluster. The pools were nice. My advice is to hang by the pool because the beach is full of young palm trees scattered about. The one good thing was the evening shuttles to Riu Bavaro. The atmosphere and entertainment there was great. We even enjoyed the children's progran _.

Second Visit This was our second visit to the Macao. Once again the staff are a credit to Riu and of high standards. The renovations have some benefits, the addition of a sports bar being one. However the removal of beach bar and bathroom is definitely a step backwards. Also the redesigned dining room is a catastrophe and too small. Several times we could not be seated inside. The Elite restaurant remained nearly empty…. Bad decision we think. Also although AC is great, in the restaurant, bar and sports bar, it is too cold and we had wished we had brought jumpers!

Recent stay at Macao This was a wonderful hotel. All areas were kept clean at all times and any requests we made fulfilled immediately. All staff couldn’t do enough to ensure it was a perfect stay. Will be recommending to any friends thinking of a Caribbean holiday
