Dreamy This resort is perfect in every way! If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway, this meets the mark. Breathtaking location, excellent typical St. Regis service, lovely rooms. Don’t miss dinner at Mita Mary Boat restaurant where you can watch the sunset. Stay for the whole sunset - the gorgeous view makes for some beautiful evenings. If you can get an ocean front villa, do it! Walking out to the beach each morning was wonderful. These units have a very nice (private) outdoor shower as well. The cuisine was top notch. The spa was relaxing with top quality treatments. 100% recommend! We are already planning to go back next year.

Met expectations We stayed 7 nights in room 4102. Our room was located by the lobby and adult pool on the first floor, but had a nice ocean view. I would describe the room decor as Spanish style, with each room having a bath tub and outdoor shower. We found ourselves using the outdoor patio. We had a couple storms roll in, and it was a great place to watch. We ate breakfast every morning at Sea Breeze. Excellent service every morning. We observed the workers going above and beyond, especially with COVID-19 protocols still in place. It took 7 days, but finally they did offer new selections on the buffet, which we enjoyed. I recommend getting a breakfast plan. I'd rate the breakfast food/selection a solid 4.5 stars. One opportunity for the resort is improving dinner options. We ate off the resort and found the food and experience superior to what was offered at the resort. Quality of food seemed lacking compared to restaurants in town.. Do not hesitate to eat off the resort. Several dinning options available in town. Mina was our favorite. Transportation is readily available by the lobby. One way to town was $9. Adult pool was the best option for us. Located right below the lobby. Honestly, one of the better adult only pools we have used. Pool service was possibly the best service we received throughout our stay. Pool water temp was on the hot side, if that matters to you. I will say, a lot of families at the resort. So if a kid free vacation is what you desire, may wanna look elsewhere. Another opportunity is activities. We thought the lack of activities was due to covid, but we're not really sure. Include the kayaks, paddle boards, etc, in the room price, like the bikes. We used the workout facilities twice. First Class, in my opinion. Always great to have a Peloton bike accessible. Overall, it was a great stay. We would definitely comeback. The gated area, which the resort is located offers biking trails, golf courses, and the ability to drive a golf car for miles. I read about the resort starting to look tired. I will say I think the resort is holding up very well, but is due for updating. Also, St. Regis provides free covid testing 2 days prior to departure. This was our first vacation out of the country since covid, and St. Regis made it a seamless and enjoyable vacation.

Incredible hotel that needs to step up its game We love it here and we will return. It’s in need of a remodel and they know it. Be patient and know going into that work is needed and the facilities are tired. Landscaping is on point and you can tell the staff cares. Pros: the staff is awesome. Genaro at the valet, Edgar at breakfast and Cesar by the pool are the most notable. Mita Mary has the best seafood and really the only place worth eating at the hotel. The beach is so awesome and private Cons: front desk and concierge are very weak. Management non existent which is disappointing but a testament to the staff who virtually runs without them.

Not up to standards of St Regis in hard and soft product I’m here now and I would encourage caution if you are considering a stay here. Things are not up to StR standards. It feels like a solid autograph collection properly at the moment. I was here six years ago and the property was fresh and exciting now it feels stale and dated. The resort was recently bought by new owners and there will be a remodel which is much needed but currently the resort lacks inspiration and lacks leadership. The food (except for the Mita Mary Fish tacos on the beach and the poke bowls by the beach) was just plain bad. Had breakfast and dinner at their main restaurant sea breeze and each time was just ok. Kinda like food you would expect from a airport doubletree hotel. pizza was inedible, burgers over cooked, salmon super salty. When I was here 6 years ago the splash pad was a big hit for my son. My younger son is the perfect age for a splash pad now so I was looking forward to it but the splash pad appears like it has been broken for years and there is no intention to fix it. When I asked about it the pool staff offered to turn the outside shower on for my son to play in …not quite the same. The condition of the pool tile and other hard scapes is worse even than recent TripAdvisor reviews suggested. Everything is is such disrepair and fixed so poorly. It feels like they are putting off all repairs for the time being since they know a major remodel is coming. Each morning there is a rush for pool and beach chairs near the Sea Breeze/Mita Mary pool beach area. There are only about 20 chairs by the beach and 20 by the pool in this area. It’s the most desirable because it’s the swimmable sandy beach. Each day there were large groups (multiple families, bachelorette parties, VIP groups) that would take 6-8 chairs. But the thing is these groups aren’t staying at the resort. They are staying in vacation homes nearby and they use this beach as their beach club. As a result resort guest fend and rush for the remaining chairs which get swept up close to 9 or 9:30. I thought this issue up with management who promised to set aside chairs for me the next day. I don’t think that really addresses the policy issue that they are prioritizing Incremental revenue over their in house guests. I remember the breakfast feeling aspirational when we were here last time. However they moved the breakfast from Marietas outdoor dining area with ocean views to sea breeze with pool views. This could be a seasonal thing due to the summer heat. Never the less the food quality was diminished. It feels adequate but nothing noteworthy. They are sell a lot of breakfast included packages through Costco and so this meets the requirements but the a la carte entrees like the smoothie bowls and avocado toast are lacking in the execution. It’s like a chef drew up the menu but didn’t train anyone how to make the food and they make it however sounds good to them. There are more issues like you can’t ever get towels and no pool service past 5 pm (sunset is at 8pm). Just know you are getting a 5 star location with 3-3.5 star food and 3.5 star service. I understand they sel discounted packages this time of year so perhaps it makes the value proposition work out in the end for other guests. However for me I don’t see the St Regis luxury standards in hard product, service, policies, or food at this time.

Anniversary trip This was our third time here and the St. Regis and the wonderful people working there have never disappointed. Fabulous sunsets, cozy rooms, and kind staff always make this a trip to remember. A special shout out to Humberto who has been making our trips enjoyable since 2014 and Eduardo who we just met for the first time. We have yet to encounter anyone who does anything other than make sure our experience is the best possible one.
