Fantastic Boutique Hotel with the Best Beds We loved our stay at the Hotel Pur in Quebec City. We were greeted nicely by the front desk and check-in was smooth. Though it was not contactless, everyone was wearing masks and the environment felt safe. Here are the pros and cons of our stay. Pros: - The hotel is about a close 15-minute walk away from Old Quebec. You would need to take the Lepine stairs (closest stairs to the hotel) to get there. - The room with the one king-size bed is a decent size and had enough space to store our luggage without feeling crammed. - The washroom was supplied with necessary toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bar soap). - The bed is extremely comfortable. It was probably the best bed I ever slept on in my entire life. I had to ask the front desk where they get their mattresses from. They also supply memory foam pillows and you can request the staff to bring the pillows to your room. These pillows are a game changer! - The room came with a Nespresso as a coffee machine and a bottle of water for drinking. This was a nice touch as many hotels would provide a lower-end coffee machine and no bottle of water for drinking. - The room was very clean and well kept and had antibacterial wipes for you to use to sanitize the room. - The room has a fridge. I find that many hotels nowadays don't have a fridge so it is very nice to see one. Cons : - I wish the toilet had a better flush as it looks like it is very easy to clog. It may be in the best interest for the hotel to get newer and water-saving toilets. - The TV was not a smart TV or did not have the ability to cast Netflix/Youtube from your phone. Many hotels nowadays have this capability/functionality. It would be nice to see this implemented. - The parking is very expensive at the hotel (24 dollars a night) but comparable with other hotels in the area. A solution to this is to park at the parking garage across from the hotel. The parking garage is newly built and is cheaper than parking at the hotel. - I would have liked more seating area in the hotel lobby. There are limited chairs and people would have to stand if there are no seats. I also want to mention that there are many amenities at the hotel that include a swimming pool, fitness room, business centre and a restaurant. However, I did not use the amenities so I cannot comment on these. Overall, my experience was amazing though there are always areas for improvement. I will definitely stay here again whenever I am in Quebec City. This hotel is a good deal compared to the hotels in the area.

Fantastic despite Covid! We cannot share enough good things about this hotel. From the Concierges and their kind recommendations, to the very accommodating Reception staff. We spent 4 days coming and going thru these doors and not once were we not greeted with big smiles and chats about our days. Despite the uncertain future with the Corona virus, they gave us their best. Management should be very proud. The hotel was spotlessly clean and had numerous sanitation stations, including the elevators. We will definitely return and enjoy this beautiful hotel when all the restrictions are lifted and we can enjoy the rest of the amenities, including their restaurant Table. St Roch is a cool neighbourhood worth checking out. Lots of great eateries and it’s own vibe. Just 20 minutes walking to the tourist hub of the city with lots to enjoy along the way. Thank you so much Hotel Pur, we will be back!

Our favourite Quebec City Hotel We love this hotel and stay here every time we go to Quebec City, which is about four times a year. We find that it is a great location for exploring Old Quebec, St James area, or to catch a show, event or hockey game at the Videotron Centre (20-30 minute walk). The hotel and rooms are modern and the service is great. The pool and gym/workout areas are very spacious and are hardly used. There is also a nice sauna to unwind in. If you are parking, save a few dollars and park in the underground garage across the street - no in and out privileges but it is cheaper if parking overnight. A great hotel for any occasion!

Quiet, quaint We had a beautiful room with a massive window overlooking the city. The tub is very deep, room clean and very well sized. Very little noise. Elevators were very fast and arrived quickly. Parking is plentiful but tight! I have a Honda Ridh6eline and you wouldn't want any bigger! The hotel staff was amazing!! Mow for the restaurant. We had our service dog and were questioned and placed in a corner (dog friendly hotel btw). The wait staff was cold except one female server who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Avoid the buffet.. order from the menu. Better quality but expensive. Definitely returning to the hotel but would eat elsewhere.
