Underwhelmed, I thought it would be better Was really underwhelmed with this hotel. 5 star but just not that good. I booked a suite and it was not in the main building but another building round the back, could have been a completely seperate apartment as it was not connected to the lovely looking hotel. The room was fine and clean but no milk for a coffee and the city view was just a view facing another apartment building, that’s all that I could see. No explanation of any of the facilities at reception and no offer to book a table for dinner etc. reception staff were friendly enough but again, I expected a bit more. No atmosphere in the hotel and the breakfast area was no different. Breakfast was average. Disappointed and would not stay there again

definitely returning I recently stayed at The Roseate Reading Hotel in England for three days on a solo trip, and overall, it was a great experience. The hotel has a lovely historic charm and elegant decor, making it a nice place to relax after exploring the town. My room was clean, spacious, and had all the modern amenities I needed. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Nyssa, who was always there with a warm smile and ready to assist with anything I needed during my stay, the team present during my stay was excellent throughout, The Wi-Fi was great, which was perfect since I had issues with my data plan, the breakfast was really amazing but I only wish they had more options, The Roseate Reading Hotel offers a wonderful mix of classic style and modern comfort, making it a great choice for solo travelers visiting Reading.

Birthday Celebration Key takeaways about The Roseate in Reading following a very important celebration with friends. Outstanding Venue; it's a Gorgeous Hotel in a Super Setting, directly opposite the Forbury Gardens.; Walking Distance from rail, buses, coaches which was crucial as friends were arriving from all over the UK and from different countries so a super hub. Staff were totally accommodating in the planning and delivery of the event - so a Shout out to Yousra in Events! Gorgeous food; wonderful wine.; the outside garden with the water wall was a perfect setting for the end of our celebration. A Shout out to Alicia who co-ordinated on the day! Super super ! And a Delighted group of visitors! Thank you!

Wonderfully Grand RECEPTION: I’ve stayed at many hotels the reception service at this hotel, is the best, the staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming, including the extremely helpful doorman. DÉCOR: The hotel is beautiful, lots of places for photo opportunities. RESTAURANT: We stayed here as part of a package, so we had the set menu, the food is wonderful, as was the service. ROOM: We stayed in the main Hotel, the room was beautiful and grand, the beds were comfortable, the room includes all and any amenities that you will need, and if you need anything more, call reception. The 1 negative of the room, is no air conditioning, so in the summer, the room is very hot, the fans supplied are not sufficient and very noisy. AHELI SPA: The couple treatments were included as part of the package, this is a 60 massage, 4 options, we went for the Bali treatment, the treatment was very good, but not for me, too robust, however, my mum loved it. Following most massages, if I feel the treatment was good I like to tip the masseuse £10, however on this day, I forgot cash, when I explained this to the manager, she told me that we could pay the ‘standard’ 12.5 service charge, I have NEVER heard of a spa charging a service charge and even though the manger stated this was optional, I was unimpressed with the option, and I can imagine that most people pay it because they feel they must. I don’t feel that a standard 12.5 service charge is appropriate on a service that starts at £80. LOCATION: This hotel is 5 Minutes, from the train station, the main town shopping centre, restaurants and a lovely park across the road, it is extremally convenient. I have stayed at this hotel a few times, and always had a wonderful stay.

Nice place, convenient location We stayed in the new part of the hotel. The room was clean, very quiet, good size & great bathroom. The bed was fantastic & the pillows very comfortable. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but did have a drink, staff friendly but bar flys everywhere, On check out we were charged a £6.40 for checking in! Which we were not made aware of & couldn’t find anywhere on the small print, apparently it’s a new thing.
