Abe's by Chef Alan - Fine Dining - Superb Food - Must Try It We dined at Abe's two nights ago before attending the Reading Symphony's season opening night concert. We were there with five friends, two couples and our next door neighbor. The meals were just first rate, superb in quality and deliciousness. Several of us had the poached lobster specialty and three people had the trout. Our waitress, Jo, was very helpful describing items on the menu and really, correctly, extolling their chef's exceptional skills. And speaking of Jo, she provided exceptional service and was also very entertaining and enjoyable. Prices of the meals were in line with the quality. Also enjoyed the beautiful exhibit of historic Duryea 1890's automobiles in the lobby (they were wonderfully crafted replicas). Abraham Lincoln is no longer operating as a hotel, now it's apartments. Restaurant is open to public. Parking free, accessible from Washington Street.

Great place to have a banquet! Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks held our El Poder del Rosado luncheon at the Lincoln. Food and service was excellent. A great value for a great downtown location. The staff was very helpful. We will definitely book at the Lincoln again.

Abe's inthe Abraham Lincoln Hotel Abe's is convenient located to The Performing Arts Center in Reading. It's casual atmosphere, & delicious food makes for a great night out. We will be back again. The night that we were there the appetizers were half of & draft beer was .99 cents. Surf & turf was only $19.99. The bartender was attentive & friendly.

Chef Alan's Restaurant at the Abe! We dined with 2 other couples last night. The restaurant is run by Chef Alan. He is no stranger to the Reading area. Sadly, there were not many people there. We had drinks at the bar before dinner and the bartender was very good at her job. Our waitress,Jo, was very knowledgeable of all aspects and her personality is great! She made all of us feel like we were her old friends. I will do my best to spread the word that this place has really good, affordable food and drinks and parking is free!! Give this restaurant a try, you will not be disappointed!

Inaugeration celebration My family and I attended a luncheon to watch the Inaugeration. We were served lunch and watch the swearing in of Vice President and President. Having attending other functions at this facility it is always fun. The food is just okay. Since they are serving a set menu it is very mediocre. It is a beautiful historic hotel. Had charm. Enjoy a visit You will be impressed.
