Best Western Plus Redondo Beach Inn

In dire need of renovations We have stayed here 2 to 3 times a year for 20 years (except during Covid) but we won’t be back until upgrades are made. Rooms are worn out. Internet is useless. Sheets and bedding were clean but threadbare. The public areas smelled like burned toast and elevator went out one day. Staff is lovely, but owners need to make some investments in updates.

Best Western saved our family trip!! As a full time student and having full time employment it makes it difficult to make trips at times. We decided we wanted to go to the beach and were not sure where to stay. We thought Santa Monica would be great for our family. As we arrived the Hampton Inn and Suite in Santa Monica, they said they had issues taking my payment. The day prior I called to verify everything was fine, payment would be taken and I would not have any problems. The person I spoke to was very knowledgeable and said everything was ready to go. As I went to check in the supervisor who was at the front desk was very rude when declining my card payment. I did not know what to do at the moment I was embarrassed and left and called the man I spoke to and he said I was able to stay but by that time I felt uncomfortable returning so I started to search other locations near by I did not think we would find something because it was 4th of July weekend and then I came across the Best Western Plus Redondo Beach Inn and once I made it there I was greeted by a woman at the front desk who was so nice. We had no issues it was a fast and smooth transaction. The stay was so comfortable. The staff was so nice, happy and helpful. My children were so happy with the pool and I enjoyed the hot tub. Breakfast was great! The list can go on and on. I definitely will continue to look and stay at Best Westerns in different locations. It was perfect for our family vacation. Thank you so much!!!

Location. Great staff Great location . Great staff. All the people that we interacted with were very nice and helpful. We were immediately greeted . When we checked out , we were thanked also.

Overpriced We had to alter our booking and staff member Jasmine was very helpful and accommodating. Location is average but walkable to restaurants. Room was clean. But it’s a dated, typical Best Western and at $265 very overpriced. We were attending a wedding so needed to be nearby but didn’t expect to pay this much. I guess that is the going rate in June in Redondo Beach!

Accessibility Room The accessible room in the plus felt more like a Motel 6. Main problem was the shower and restroom area became very slippery for the wheelchair after a shower; up to and to the point where the chair user fell to the floor upon transferring to the toilet. The grab bar is stationed in the shower in an awkward position; the user has to have it on their back as there is no other back support. The bed sheets were not clean and had stains.
