Great unless you expect running water We have stayed at this hotel in the past and it has been fine; they are under renovation and there is sometimes some noise and dust in the mornings. When we checked in at 3 p.m., we saw a sign that said the hotel would not have running water from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. every day during our trip. (The young woman at the checkout desk did not choose to mention this to us either--we were lucky that we saw the sign). We were told that we didn't have to stay, but there was no offer of a refund. The receptionist was unable to suggest a nearby place to use a bathroom. We could not even wash our hands, and the hotel did not provide hand sanitizer in the lobby or in our room, despite the current pandemic. The room is very pretty. The air conditioning seems to work. The refrigerator could stand to be de-iced, but it is nice that they had one. We were given two extra water bottles from the front desk in compensation for being unable to wash our hands or use the bathroom for two hours today and seven hours tomorrow. I would prefer to be able to wash my hands and use the bathroom. There are plenty of less expensive hotels in the area that have running water, including some that do not have three stars. I would recommend calling the hotel before booking to see whether they plan to have running water during your stay, as they certainly did not inform us at any point prior to our arrival that this could be an issue.

Business trip not our choice Although the hotel is getting ready for a full reno, the staff was friendly with a few exceptions. The Shuttle service they offer is rather misleading on the website. It only runs at certain times and although a few of the drivers would drop us off at the restaurant in Town center when you called the hotel back they were not at all accommodating. They only pick up and drop off at certain times & certain places. I was tired of confusing conversation with the front desk. The restaurant food is mediocre. The cleanliness of the room was ok until I looked down at the carpet the last night and saw someone else’s toenail clippings! Yuck! And that was our 5th night so no one obviously vacuumed. Also the pillows on the bed were flat and offered no support. They were like sleeping on a pillow with no stuffing.

Either no sleep or deal with the cold in a very old and tired hotel Spent last 3 nights there. The air conditioning units are very old and so noisy that you cannot sleep. The only option is to turn them off, which means that you will be cold. Your choice. Had actually complained, and obviously nothing could have been done, never the less, someone from reception calls me in the room after 10PM, to tell me nothing I didn’t know. So why even call, and why at that hour, when I could have been sleeping already? On top of all that, there was a pice of dirt in the carpet for the whole 3 days, so that’s the level of cleaning you get.

Nice property in Reston I stayed at this Sheraton during my last trip to Reston, The hotel is clean and the staff is very courteous. I received a room upgrade on this trip and the room was very spacious and the bed was heavenly even though this was a Sheraton and not its neighbor the Westin. The parking lot seems small, but I've never had an issue with parking at this property so the looks are deceiving. All-in-all a very nice property in Reston close to the town center.

Met my needs for a quick business trip Stayed here for two night business trip. Normally I stay over at the Hyatt Regency Reston, but their rooms were double the price for this week. I had heard from colleagues this hotel is being updated, so I wasn't expecting a lot. Yes, it does need to be refreshed, but the hotel and rooms were very clean and comfortable. It met my needs for a quick trip.
