THE JEFFERSON HOTEL

The BEST experience! I am a Ritz Carlton fan so my standards are pretty high, but the Jefferson hotel exceeded my expectations! Beautiful building.. extremely clean rooms and all and well kept! Lots of details and traditions, but my favorite part was the staff! The sense of ownership and pride was present in everyone from the valet to housekeeping, room service, concierge, shuttle service,everyone we encountered was kind, professional, knowledgeable, well informed, friendly, and the sense of ownership’s is a whole different level. I felt in a castle not a hotel. You don’t find that anymore in the service industry especially after covid, no one seems to care anymore, so when I see that many people care I really have to recognize them! Not one unpleasant person in that building. I truly want to thank them all and thank the higher ups that care employees because these people are happy coming to work! They obviously love their job and what they do! This place is worth every penny and then some! I would give it 10 stars if I can! And won’t stay anywhere else when in Richmond.

The Jefferson met the needs of this picky traveler! I am a very picky traveler and do a lot of research before I choose a hotel, boutique, or resort and I look for the highest travel reviews (who doesn't?) and I like 4-5 star hotels or boutiques. The Jefferson did not disappoint! Not only is it living up to the high guest rating on Trip Advisor and other travel sites but it is also a gorgeous historical hotel! It is clear the staff take pride in this beautiful building. I've been here about 5 hours and have walked around almost the entire hotel. I already know I'm going to sleep like a baby! Oh...and the food and service at TJs restaurant was EXCELLENT, the gift shop had a lot of really cool stuff (I spent WAY too much money there but I couldn't help it), and the staff is EXCEPTIONAL. The only regret I have is that I my stay is for only one night...this time. I will most certainly return and, next time, it will be for more than one night! Great job to all the staff at The Jefferson for making my stay most enjoyable :)

Truly magnificent Old fashioned class! A real Wow factor as you enter the lobby and start to look around at the decor, the ceiling, the columns. Check-in is easy and the rooms elegant and spacious. Take a lot at the list of famous people who stayed here in the small museum area and again marvel at the sumptuous decor. Don’t stay anywhere else!

Outstanding Absolutely wonderful! Highly recommend! We were so surprised at check in when Justin told us they upgraded us to a suite and he thought we would appreciate the extra room....oh boy! What a beautiful suite!! The bed was so comfortable, water provided, robes/slippers, Mouton amenities and a pack of note cards to take home. We went to dinner in Lemaire and it was delicious! Weird to note though that they gave my husband the menu with the prices and I was not given one with prices. This is 2024. Really? The hotel has a walking tour and is just outstanding. We stayed at the Omni on our last night in town and had a horrible experience. We were missing the Jefferson the whole week!

A grand old hotel with excellent service My daughter and I stayed at the Jefferson twice in April on the way south for a holiday and again on the way home north. Our family had stayed here 20 years ago and decided to see how it had held up. It is a very special property, historic and elegant. As with many grand old hotels it is not modern and it has been some time since its last major renovation but it is impeccably maintained and housekeeping is excellent. What really stood out was the service . Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Valet staff, room service and concierge were all excellent. Very special thanks to agent Jones who was so helpful when we left our passports in the hotel safe. This is a character hotel that is so refreshing in a world of cookie cutter lodging.
