Charming and Convenient Charming boutique with some of the best service providers I’ve encountered at anywhere including branded hotels. Exceptional location with some terrific restaurant options…including a new restaurant inside the Berkeley Hotel. This hotel contributed to my productive visit to Richmond.

Cozy downtown hotel My husband and I spent one night, June 2024, in the lovely Berkely hotel in downtown Richmond. The hotel is located in the cobblestone area of Shockoe Slip--home to art galleries and a wonderful variety of restaurants. This is a small hotel with a very cozy and inviting vibe. It feels like a small European hotel. The front desk is very inviting and efficient. The room we stayed in was small but perfectly adequate. We chose a room with two beds. Beds were very comfortable with high quality linens. the room was furnished with attractive period furniture. The bathroom was quite nice and very up to date with walk in shower- and good lighting. We researched prices in the immediate area and found that this was a great deal. You can stay in this charming hotel with a lovely atmosphere for the same price or less than nearby chain hotels.

Nice Hotel, Great Location We recently stayed at the Berkeley hotel in Richmond while visiting with family and friends. The Berkeley is a nice hotel conveniently located downtown near restaurants and the interstate . We were able to check in a little early and the staff (Alfreda and Noah) were very nice. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. We will definitely stay at the Berkeley again.

Perfect for our 1-night in Richmond! Check-in was a breeze. Our room was ready early and they allowed us to check in which was perfect for us. While the hotel is older, it was clean and well kept. There was a slight smokey odor on our floor although it was a non-smoking floor. Valet was a bit pricey, but very accessible and TC had a super attitude and a warm, welcoming smile. If we are in that area again, we would certainly consider staying at The Berkeley.

Lovely, simply lovely. My stay at The Berkley was amazing, the staff especially TC (valet) went above and beyond. 5 stars. Simply put, the Berkley is lovely. Do yourself a favor and book immediately. Sidebar, Chris the bartender is amazing, and absolute delight.
