Will give another try Hotel itself was quite lovely. Beach and pool a must. In addition, my encounter with staff at different venues was exceptional. My biggest disappointment was in the hotel room. Not only are they in need of an update, the lighting was unacceptable. everything seemed dim and dreary. Also the balcony widows were blotchy and dirty. Another odd discovery was use of of bath mats being used as "area" rugs around the bed. I did voice my complaints to management on the property who were extremely attentive and offered to rectify my complaints.

Juan Pablo (Breakfast Service) Juan Pablo was an absolute star at breakfast. He is the epitome of professionalism and customer service. He was knowledgable and efficient. It was truly a pleasure meeting him. I hope all who read this review have an encounter with him and his service.

Couples Trip to Rio Mar in San Juan We took a birthday trip to San Juan 12/11 -12/16. We met Ray on day one and he was extremely professional, fun, warm and attentive! He made sure we had a fantastic time. Ray’s drinks were amazing! His level of service was superb. He definitely was the reason we spent time in Roots daily at Rio Mar Resort. We will be back very soon. If you visit, stop by Roots and say hi to Ray and he will take great care of you.

Hard to beat. Trip and staff were amazing!! the room and views you cant beat and it was incredibly easy to get around tothe city, jungle and ocean. One of my favorite vacations. I Highly recommend. Which... essentially a guarantee. And Juan is the best mimosa maker.

Great family vacation Very nice resort, the grounds are well maintained. Many food and beverage options on property. The food and drinks are pricey. Front desk personnel are friendly and accommodating. Two of the pools are being renovated. We were advised the renovation should be completed soon. Overall, would highly recommend this property for relaxation and enjoying the beach.
