New Staff with horrible leadership equal don't spend your hard earned money here! My family has been staying at this hilton for years. This year will probably be the last. First off, the dark skin gentleman at the front desk should be provided better customer service when dealing with customers. The way he responds to concerns is absolutely ridiculous. The breakfast has gone downhill with each renovation but the price has increased. With the amount paying for the room and the quality the breakfast should be included. Going to the pool to discover the hot tub was removed was disapoointing however not too much since the last few time it had devil remnants (foam) coming out of it. This hotel has been my go to for family travel yearly and any other travel between NC and Va. Looks like the new fairfield down the street will have to be our new go to. It saddens me the horrible responses from management when situations were brought to their attention. No apologies, ways to make the mistakes better or nothing. Just the hilton garden inn prepared responses like on these reviews. Please do better. I know this is not the hilton way!

Try to avoid if you can We stopped by this place overnight on the way to SC. The hotel itself is situated very conveniently close to the highway. The building seems to be rather new. Rooms are spacious. That is where positive findings end. People working there seem not too happy being there. The food at the restaurant on the main floor was borderline poisonous. The chicken sandwich was dry and was slapped in the middle of a bun with nothing except a few shavings of pickle. The taste was awful. That and fries smelled like fish as probably the oil was reused from a fish pan. Yuk! The room itself physically was great. But the bathroom wreaked of the smell of old urine! The pillowcases seemed clean, but they were hiding dirty pillows which had turned from white to dark grey. The smoke alarm kept crackling the whole night as if it was trying to communicate with outer space. Avoid

Not The Best Choice Hotel location was remote. Few choices for restuarants. Room was sparse. Only bins for clothes. Unfriendly staff. Breakfast buffet was minimal as well. We usually love Hilton Garden Inns, but this did not rise to the occasion. It had just been renovated and the building permits were still posted.

Simple message. . . Stay here and eat here! 6 stars for the staff! Jerry & Daisy in the dining room. The food was fabulous, the tomato bisque was so good, I almost had a second bowl for Dessert! I thought my steak last night at Hilton Garden in Columbia, MD was great and tonight in Roanoke Rapids, Jerry exceeded those expectations with our rib eye! Romelo at the front desk was lovely to work with! Dominique made me the perfect Manhattan cocktail! I am telling you, Hilton Garden Inn in this part of the country is absolutely killer. and the beds are extremely comfortable! Just need another table in the room besides the desk!

Bad experience I checked into the hilton garden inn and when I tell u I will never stay there again it's not worth the money the front desk Clerk he was rude and I let him know he was and he responded with a smart remark and I responded back also no soap n the room just bad service nice hotel but need better service paid 300 dollars for bad service
