Holiday Inn Express Rochelle, an IHG Hotel

Poor customer service! Checked in & when went to room someone was already in the room. Left wife upstairs with our luggage while I went downstairs to desk to check with them. Another guest was already at the counter waiting for the desk clerk Said they had been waiting about 10 minutes & no one was around. I called the direct hotel number 4 times & no one picked up the phone. By now had been waiting about 20 minutes. Decided to step outside through the front doors & saw the hotel clerk that had checked me in standing about 50 feet from my right talking on her phone. I motioned to her that I needed assistance with no response back. Went back inside & clerk returned in about 5-6 minutes & helped the gentleman also waiting in from of me. When it was my turn I explained the room situation & was given another room with no apology for my wait, room mix up, & the wrong wi-fi password was also written on my key card to top if off. I was told that the hotel manager would follow up with me the next day which no one from the hotel has done! I contacted IHG corporate & was told the same thing about the hotel manager would contact me… no contact yet. They did give me 15K points for my inconvenience though. Room, breakfast, & parking were good.

Best hotel experience! Everything you could ask for from a hotel..clean, comfortable, and an amazing breakfast buffet with THEE nicest, most attentive attendant, Karen..just about had my honey in tears because of how delicious it all was!..hope to get to return in the future..

best breakfast experience rooms were clean and Karen at breakfast was a delight and had an an incredible breakfast every morning. location to my job was simple as well. pool was down but due to a bad pump which is no one’s fault. TVs in room could be quite a bit bigger but overall a pleasant stay.

Top notch hotel From ease of making the reservation to the wonderful breakfast. Selection of breakfast was top notch and Karen was so friendly in tge breakfast area. The beds were very comfortable. Extremely clean hotel. Highly recommend staying here if in the area.
