Noisy but Clean Pro and cons Pros: Location easy 10 minute drive to Mayo Clinic and they have a shuttle (not sure early it starts) friendly staff VERY clean relatively inexpensive basic breakfast included (hot and cold, and fresh fruit) Cons: Noise of wall AC so loud have to turn up volume if you are listening to something and woke me up all through the night but it was 90 degrees outside so not much of a choice Street noise if you are on non residential side Bed creaky and squeaky (but comfortable) Pro/Con depending on your spiritual outlook...lots of religious/Christian items in common areas Also if you read this soon after publishing there is construction/jack hammering that started at 7:45 A.M. Tip:- Ask for a room on residential side if traffic noise bothers you. This was my second and last stay because of wall unit noise. If you aren't too sensitive to noise its's a decent place to stay. First time it was in the winter and quieter because fan didn't have to cycle on and off as much and street noise less.

Nice place but cleaning products used extremely strong smell and shuttle not dependable The location is great for apts at Mayo. Shuttle is very handy though day of husbands surgery he needed to be there before 6:30 and shuttle doesn’t start until 6:30. The weather was bad and we were unsure of where we needed to go for hospital so took a cab. Cab driver could not come past 5:15 so we had to go even earlier. Apparently 2 cab services in Rochester are owned by same owner and they all prefer airport runs. Priority. So my plan was to take shuttle back to hotel later in the day. Apparently the shuttle did not run that day. (Though most all other hotel shuttles were running) So I had to wait for a cab ride again. The room was fine. The breakfast was decent though repetitive if you spend a week there. ( could add bagels, cream cheese, peanut butter) The staff are friendly and they keep the place very clean in comparison to many hotels I’ve stayed in last couple years. Front door glass always clean. But whatever cleaner they use it is obnoxiously strong. I’m not one to be bothered by smells (except cigarettes) but this cleaner is horrible. After one night spent with the window cracked (during snowstorm) the smell was starting to dissipate. We reported it to front desk and were told they’d send a note to cleaning staff. The 2nd day they cleaned my room again and I had to sleep with window open again. Then I put out the do not disturb sign and went the next 4 days without room being cleaned. I’ve never used Fabuloso and I never will. No one should. My husband has to go back in April and in May and will have another surgery this summer. Unfortunately we won’t be staying here because of this cleaning product. We do love it being next door to a Perkins and close to a BBQ restaurant. But just can’t tolerate the smell.

Lowest rates for Mayo patients and very clean, plus extras Hotel is nice. Room was very clean and I am very picky about cleanliness. They provide clean towels and new soap every day. Free water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate in lobby 24/7. Hot breakfast every day. Nice variety. Free shuttle from hotel to and from Mayo Clinic. Staff very friendly and helpful. No frills room and single bed rooms are small. But it is up to date and very clean. Had everything I needed including microwave, fridge hairdryer, lots of hangers desk table two chairs and very quiet. I will stay again.

great place to stay definitely recommend this hotel. We booked online, got there and the man working told us we would have gotten a better (hospital rate), if we would have called, but he gave us the discounted rate. The room was a little on the small side, but plenty room, nice and clean, and the staff had left towels all folded into cute little animals and many nice touches, made us feel very special. breakfast was good and lots of variety, great place to stay
