Fantastic place to stay in Rome. We just had a spectacular stay with Hotel Palazzo Manfredi. We were greeted with such warmth, and made to feel comfortable before we even checked in. Our executive room was lovely. The bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is well appointed and spacious. The breakfast is fantastic. A beautiful view of the Colosseum, with thoughtful and delicious breakfast choices. Do not miss the bar. The ambiance, drinks, and complimentary snacks are out of this world. Most importantly, the staff is amazing.

The view isn't the best feature In 2017, my wife and I stayed at this 5-star hotel and when we decided to visit Rome again in 2024, this was the "only" choice. We were welcomed warmly by Margherita and then, in a most awesome surprise, by Raphael who was a reception staff member in 2017 but is now the Rooms Director of the property. They selected the same suite for us with spectacular views of the Colosseum (yes, even from the walk-in shower) and prepared our arrival with flowers and fruit in the suite. The suite is small but very comfortable. Excellent comfortable bedding. Thick large towels and Acqua di Parma toiletries complement the very large bath. The only nit is the water volume in the shower is low. The intimate (perhaps 20 guests maximum) breakfast at the Aroma 5-star restaurant is excellent. The views are breathtaking. A buffet with meats, cheeses, eggs, pastries, selection of juices and coffees/teas made to order can be enhanced with made to order omelets and other breakfast entrees. They now have a cozy outdoor bar which we didn't visit but which is clearly popular with the younger, elegant generation. But all of this is not the reason we'd return. It's the staff. They truly care about the guests. Housekeeping, Reception, F&B and all the "unseen teams" are clearly led by a "care about your guests as if they are family" mentality and it shows. Well done, Palazzo Manfredi team. We look ahead to returning.

Very luxury hotel x Great hotel, couldn’t give 5 *s as missed our evening meal booking off for our 15 year wedding anniversary. The managers did offer to rectify after we left for a meal in Rome but the moment was ruined. As a sorry they did pay for our car parking priced at £60. Which we appreciated. I did confirm the 8pm meal the night before we arrived by email and also when we checked in the following morning. All was confirmed but when 8pm came it wasn’t. Everything happens for a reason, we made the most of our last night in Rome. _ The hotel is very beautiful and the staff made a fuss of us on arrival with fizz in the room and petals. Great location for all the sights not sure if I’d stay again. _

Charming, helpful front desk team aim to please but hard to overcome information shortcomings and sloppy housekeeping The front desk team was charming and helpful from months ahead of our stay (helping with excursion and dining reservations) and during our stay. But, we were underinformed in some key ways. We were not aware that the Bar was not run by a third party (and the Bar manager who was unpleasant was not in the slightest bit interested in us being hotel residents). Also, when shown to our room, we were not given even a quick summary of how things worked and what information there was in the room to which we could turn for written help - for example, clearer (and more easily visible) instructions on using the safe, TV and even the location of the minibar. Room servicing by housekeeping was repeatedly sloppy with a changing variety of errors - none fatal but most were irritating - for example regarding towels, telephone location, supply of bottled water, care with our clothing (One should note that our friends experienced a series of far worse issues in their bedroom) Breakfasts were very good in Aroma and the view is stunning Overall, though it would not be correct to rate the hotel as excellent but with more forethought and better trained housekeeping staff it should not be too difficult to raise the performance level

Perfection next to the Colosseum The room was small but well appointed. There was a small table and two chairs with a welcoming bottle of champagne, fruit, and nuts overlooking the Colosseum and the gladiator training grounds. The bed was incredibly comfortable with great pillows. The bath tub, which is also a shower was rather difficult to get into so I would not recommend that specific room for anyone who has any instability. There were no handrails. The amenities were great though. Aqua di Parma in the bathroom- my favorite. Lush, quiet hallways. Attentive, friendly staff- especially the manager, Bruno Papaleo! I noticed the hotel seems to also offer small apartments at a next door annex. That would be much more appropriate if you were traveling with an children.
