Quality name, subquality property. I am in my 4th night of a six night stay. I have requested room service three days in a row. No room service except they did after requested clean and straighten up the bathroom. The beds have not been made or the trash emptied, or the coffee service re stocked.. They won't make decalf coffee available anywhere in the building The hall way carpet is filthy with dirt left by contractors doing work for as long as I have been here. Obviously there isn't any house keeping being done. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Rooms are the only improvement I used to stay here pretty regularly, and you get what you pay for. Older rooms, decent staff, etc. I’m back for the first time in two years and the rooms are a breath of fresh air, compared to what they used to be. A side note, one of the towels in my room was all tattered and worn. Besides the towel, the room was the only good part of my stay. Upon landing at DTW and walking off the plane I called for the shuttle. The man that answered told me to call when I’m at the pick up area. This was 8:37pm. I call when I arrive at the hotel shuttle pickup at 8:41p. I stand waiting and watching the other hotel and parking shuttles come and go repeatedly. I call again at 9:02p and speak to a woman that was apologetic and told me the shuttle wasn’t at the hotel and that that was a ‘good sign’. She informs me she’ll call and request the driver again. I continue my wait again for another 20 minutes becoming slightly more impatient. I call again at 9:25p and ask the gentleman if he knows how much longer the shuttle will be or if I should just get an Uber at this point. He tells me to not get an Uber and assures me the shuttle will be there soon. I wait another 10 minutes and the Sheraton shuttle finally shows up. She greeted me with a ‘Hi’ and that was it. No apology for the wait. When I finally I walk in to the lobby there are three agents at the desk. I ask if the shuttle regularly takes an hour and he said no. He barely apologized for my wait. Shrugging it off to the the fact he didn’t start until 9pm. I asked if there was any option for some extra points or food/drink credits. He said he had no control, but that he has my email on file so the GM is aware and will contact me in the future. The main point is that the wait for a shuttle almost longer than my flight to DTW and they didn’t care. As a Titanium Bonvoy member the welcome was less than lackluster. I’m not seeing many reasons to stay here in the future and my DTW airport trips are frequent.

BAIT AND SWITCH! I stayed here in December, 2020, during the COVID pandemic. I had traveled from Costa Rica for my mother's funeral, and couldn't face a long drive after my long day of travel. The rooms on the website look beautiful, modern, and clean. The reality is, they shoved everybody onto one floor of the hotel, which has not been remodeled, painted, or refreshed in any way in DECADES. The wallpaper looked like it was straight out of the '80s. The bathroom was old and tired. There were no charging stations for portable devices, and the furniture was so old, I didn't want to even touch it, let alone sit on it. Furthermore, instead of keys, they give you a virtual key on your phone. The virtual key did not work inside the elevator. I was trapped in the elevator for more than 10 minutes. I was banging on the door, but the lobby was completely deserted. Whomever was supposed to be on the front desk was back in an office. There was no alarm, and no emergency phone. Also, the walls are paper thin, and I heard doors banging all night long, as well as children running up and down the hallways. Unless they guarantee that you will get a nice, clean, modern, remodeled room, DON'T STAY HERE. Even then, you will have the noise issue, so just save your money and take a nice limo service instead.

Renovated property already in disarray I typically stay at a different Marriott property when visiting Detroit however I saw this Sheraton had been recently renovated so I decided to give this property a try and that was a huge mistake! First there is no where to park at all and lots of suspicious activity in the parking lots, next the keys do not work on the doors to rooms or the lounge had to visit the desk numerous times to fix the keys throughout my stay. The coffee machine in the club lounge was broken and there was trash all over the place. Breakfast was not good, took a long time because they have one overworked employee doing multiple roles consisting of being the cook, server and cleaner. She was extremely friendly and was doing the best she could under the circumstances. At night on nearly all sides of me there was constant noise and I informed the desk numerous times to no avail. The pool is open but looks disgusting, the pool is indoor and you can see it from the elevator and the water looked so murky and unsafe with some white substance floating yet during the day there was many guests. Overall this hotel is renovated but already has gone way down hill. I recommend guests choose another property such as the Delta or Marriott in the vicinity.

Good choice by airport I choose this hotel due to the 24 hour shuttle and having a late flight in. The staff was friendly and the lobby was nicely renovated. Arrived too late to have dinner or a drink at the hotel but was able to order breakfast which was good and had a nice server/cook. The hallways appeared to be renovated but somewhat sloppy and they smelled bad. The room renovation looked to be a lot better done with such a really nice bed, however, it only had a thin blanket not a thin blanket and duvet like other Sheratons. I was given an accessible room which was fine, since I think it made it much bigger. The room and bathroom appeared to be clean also. It was missing a coffee maker and clock but that wasn't a big deal. Only issue I had was it was missing a laundry bag and lotion and when I found 2 housekeepers they didn't have any. There is probably nicer choices near the airport but I found this to be very comfortable and I would stay again due to the staff being friendly and the very nice bed.
