Elevate Hotel at Sierra Blanca Ruidoso, Ascend Hotel Collection

Excellent Hotel/Wonderful Experience We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary in Ruidoso, NM. We stayed at the Elevate Hotel and enjoyed our stay. April the manager was an excellent host. We were allowed to check in early. She provided us with a list of attractions and restaurants. Her recommendations were spot on. The room was great! Comfortable and roomy.. The morning breakfast was well stocked. The staff at Ruidoso were great. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone choosing to stay in Ruidoso. I would suggest that you book direct and not through a third party site.

Very nice family friendly hotel We came for a two day get away and we were impressed by the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. There was a mix up in our reservation, but the desk clerk handled it perfectly. We had a handicap accessible suite with a king bed. There was a very spacious living area with refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. There was a nice sofa with end tables, lamps, a coffee table and flat screen TV. The separate bedroom was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The separate bathroom was a little small. There was only one grab bar in the bathtub and the door wouldn’t stay open. This hotel had 2 swimming pools, a hot tub, fitness center and guest laundry. It was very popular with families. We would stay here again.

$24.00 Extra For "Resort Fees" at the Elevate Motel Check previous reviews for comments on the "Resort Fees" added. These fees are hidden during checkout while reserving the room online. When it came to check out of the hotel we discovered the fees were $8.00 per night for an additional $24. During our stay, we discovered there are no security cameras in the rear of the hotel and limited coverage in the front of the hotel. The cameras were not active for review either. This was discovered due to theft from the parking lot. The layout of the hotel was troublesome to me since the second floor has stairs that lead down the hallway to rooms. The hallway stairs can be a challenge for those with walking limitations or especially those using a wheelchair. Our room did not have an evacuation map posted on the inside of the door. There is only one small-sized elevator leading to the second floor that is located in the breakfast dining room. The breakfast dining room seats only 30 people, so get there early. In the future, I plan on finding other accommodations when I return to this area for vacation.

Room Surcharges! Per Person!!!! The absolute worst! We booked two rooms on Priceline. Nowhere did it say anything about fees that would be charged after we got there. We checked in for the first room and they said there is a $7 per night charge for anyone who books through a 3rd party! I was livid, but tired from driving so I said whatever. We checked in for the 2nd room and she says it’s $11 per night surcharge on this room. I said are you kidding me? Why is this room more than the other? I kid you not, she said there is a surcharge per person and you have two people in the second room! I will never stay in this hotel or another in their chain. I haven’t left a review for anyone in years. Wow is all I can say. TERRIBLE!!!

Elevate in Ruidoso I drove into town in the early morning and needed somewhere to stay last minute. Three other hotels either had no one at the front desk or were charging double. The front desk attendant was amazing and I was setup and in my room in less than 20min. The room was perfect and clean, no noise and the free breakfast was great. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend if you’re coming to Roidoso. Thank you Elevate!
