Rancho Caymus wine country trip Had a King upstairs corner room - loved it and the building's Spanish influenced architecture. Wrought iron four-poster bed, kitchenette with table, step down living area with desk. TV, fireplace. Nice roomy bathroom with tub. 2 sets of French doors to a wrap around balcony and lounge chairs - not a great view, but still was relaxing. Walking distance to restaurants, plenty of parking, close to wineries. The small courtyard of this place is so lovely I used a pic from my iphone as my screen-saver at work! I see the hotel is currently closed maybe remodeling and will open under a new name - hope it is as nice as before.

Looking to Return Emails, usually answered quickly, weren't; phone rang and rang. Returning to the web site last night I learned that Rancho Caymus closed?! Great location, great rate, and I'm really going to miss this place.

Wonderful small hotel We've stayed here 3 times now. Small, relatively simple hotel with rustic charm. Location is great, and prices are, too, for Napa. Eat at Alex on property, or walk next door to the amazing Rutherford Grill. Elizabeth Spencer's tasting room is also across the street. Round Pond just down the road. My wife had run a marathon the morning we arrived (drove over from her race in Sacramento) and the hotel arranged an in room massage for her.

Solid deal for the location We wanted to be close to St Helena, but didn't want to pay for it. Rancho Caymus was a perfect compromise. Nice, big room, although dated as other reviews have mentioned, but perfect for crashing after spending the days tasting wine and the nights stuffing our faces at excellent restaurants. We had room 203, which had a little balcony and a great shower. The room was fine, quiet, and included a bar with a sink and refrigerator. The property was clean and had a nice courtyard. The continental breakfast is weak so don't plan on that, but the Modern Bakery up the street in St Helena covered our needs. I would stay here again for sure.

Great Choice My husband and I stayed here last fall. It was our first trip to Napa Valley and after much research we settled on the Rancho Caymus Inn. We were with another couple and all four of us were happy with our choice! The Inn is old and the rooms could use a little updating but we still loved it. Our rooms had a separate sitting room with a fireplace which was charming. They also had a lovely courtyard with a fountain. We were able to walk to a few other places from the hotel but it was also a good location for driving to various points of interest. We definitely hope to go back there!
