WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER STAYED AT. TERRIBLE!! 1. Upon arrival, I. a 79 year old retiree, had to carry my own luggage up 2 flights of stairs because there was no one to do this. 2. Room extremely small and cramped 3. Bed uncomfortable, and in fact broke while my wife was sitting on it the first day we were there. Fortunate she did not get injured when this occurred. 4. Coffee pot did not work at all. 5. Bathroom door did not close. 6. No new towels/wash clothes to replace used ones. 7. Had made reservations for the 2nd night at the restaurant., but after experiencing all of these problems I cancelled and went elsewhere. 8 I will not ever recommend this place if asked. 9. I feel this place owes me at least one nights stay refunded back because of all issues experienced.

A unique experience! I loved this place! A real paddle wheel boat docked in Sacramento, a historic boat that used to travel every day between San Francisco and Sacramento. I was greeted by friendly hotel staff, had a cute small but very clean room. The pub/bar on the top level has great views, fun bartenders, and very good food. I slept soundly.

Mutiny A nightmare. The TV didn't work and the front desk didn't care until I made a fuss. The manager had to come a reboot the system and change remotes. Then, a wedding reception late into the night with paper thin walls. I could have found a bench in a bus station that was more comfortable and quieter. I thought the ship would be a novelty. It turned out to be a travisty. Try to stay away and definitely stay away if they have an event during your stay.

Drink on this historical boat Go for an evening drink on its deck. You get a great view of the Sacramento river and its surroundings. We were lucky to be there at the right time n right spot to witness the swinging of the old bridge, which we thought was not functioning as it is rusty n look unkempt. We also saw a train crossing the river on the lower deck of that bridge. We walked across the bridge an hour earlier before witnessing these events. There was a group of sea lions lounging on a platform too.

Bummed Website for delta king shows rates around 130-140 per night. What they don’t tell you -unless you dig - is that these are government rates and when you arrive the front desks asks for govt ID to prove you are government… so after an exhausting trip , I arrive at what is a fun place to stay, now told at 10 pm that the non government rate is 90$ more per night than the rates found on front end of most websites including theirs. Disingenuous at best, more akin to sneaky bait and switch. Be careful and know what you are getting… great deal if you work for an agency! Kudos for that. Too bad cause it is a neat old restored boat , good food and nice bar…
