Rooms need some love I've stayed at the hotel multiple times now. The hotel itself is nice enough and the staff has been pleasant. The rooms though, are in need of updates. This time around, my room definitely needed some attention. Not enough to make a switch, bit noticable in the quality of the stay. The door had a huge unpainted patch. The showerhead leaked and the bed creaked like my dad's old house. Also, the light switch had a hole in it that made it difficult to turn on and left you in the dark since the door closed so quickly.

Legislative Day April 2019 19 fellow school administrators stayed at the Sheraton for Leg Day April 2019. Centrally located to State Capitol, Old Town and surrounding eateries. Room was clean and bed comfy. Several meeting areas, and restaurant on second floor. Bar on ground floor. Service was as expected.

Pretty much the worst Despite spending plenty of nights in quite a number of properties over recent years, I've done very little posting during that time (life has a way of interfering with these things). Tonight's visit, however, has unfortunately necessitated bringing out the old Reviewing Machine thanks to a pretty lousy stay all around. To begin with, there apparently was one person (or one plus the invisibles?) working the valet. After waiting for about ten minutes with literally zero movement in the queue, we circled around to the parking garage and trekked over with our luggage. Ultimately not a big deal, but, also, not a great start. From there, we were handed sparkling new card keys to our room up on the 21st floor. Promising at the start, we unfortunately entered into a pretty lovely La Quinta Inn room straight out of 1988... complete with the musty odor akin to a cedar chest filled with mothballed sweaters from Nineteen-SIXTY-Eight. Not to be outdone, the frayed furniture tried its damnedest to keep our minds off of the scent, but...... no dice - the odor insisted upon itself. At this point, at least my hoity toity Titanium member Club lounge would save the night... except that it was closed... which, hey, maybe they're still dealing with Covid residuals in terms of staffing, really not sure. Just the cherry on the sundae, at any rate. On top of that, it turns out that the usual compensation (a credit or a complementary breakfast) offered in lieu of a functioning lounge is *not* offered by Sheraton properties. Or, at least not this one. Hey, we all end up with crappy stays... it happens. First world problem, to be sure... but to the extent that we offer up these reviews as a heads-up to fellow travelers, please just consider some of the above as a bit of a Buyer Beware with this place. This is truly a 1/2 Star Do Not Recommend property... and I can't emphasize that enough. Thanks for your time.

Never again at this hotel I was very disappointed with my most recent stay at the Sheraton Sacramento on J St. I had several issues that contributed to ruining my experience. The first and most important, was that the elevator access with the key card. That is ridiculous, I was very disappointed that I need it my key card every time I got in the elevator. I understand safety but that is ridiculous. I had to come downstairs a total of 27 times during my stay. I had family who came to visit that I had to come downstairs and get it, my best friend came and I had to go down and get her. The ice machine on the 10th floor was out of order, so I needed to have my key card to go to the next floor which I thought was ridiculous. That alone as discouraged me from ever staying at this hotel again. Furthermore, I had a problem with housekeeping on my second night. I left my room at 11:45-ish. I attempted to call downstairs but no one answered the phone, I went to access my second room on my reservation and was able to get someone on the phone to request cleaning services for my first room. Before I left the hotel I also stopped by the front desk and asked for housekeeping to come to my room just to make sure that it was clear that I needed housekeeping. Five hours later, I return to my hotel to a dirty room, I called downstairs again and someone said they would check and see what happened, I never heard back two hours later and I stop by the front desk after coming back from grabbing dinner and the young lady at the counter apologized and offered me a $10 credit, which I thought was nice, I told her I needed towels three face towels and 2 dry off towels. The attendant brought towels to the room but didn’t bring the correct amount and I never got any face towels. Also some of the towels in both rooms had a brown stain on it, which means that they were dirty. Last but not least when we were downstairs dealing with the housekeeping issue my roommate asked about coffee in the morning. They instructed us that I guess coffee is served at 7:00 AM. Fast forward to the next morning, my roommate came down to get coffee at 7 o’clock and saw that you guys had free coffee that ended at 7 o’clock. Basically deceiving my friend in order to make a buck. Communication sucked, Along with the annoying elevator key card issue. I was glad to know that I was not the only patron that was annoyed, As I was I guess expressed the inconvenience of having to use your key card each time you were in the elevator. I just had a bad experience, at this particular hotel I will never stay at this hotel again.

Corona Virus safety Yay for wonderful Sheraton Grand Sacra Hotel in our capital town of Sacra, California! They are doing every possible protocol, not sure Protocol is correct word, to keep employees safe, to keep if appropriate, volunteers safe, to keep Guests safe! Hand sanitizer at different areas of Check In Desk! Wow, that is a good way start the stay! Hand sanitizer at Guest Services Desk! Even the bar area! No seats but glass to separate the bar tenders from the Guests! Hand sanitizer at the bar! Even by the elevators, hand sanitizer on each floor by doors of elevator! As of now, due to Mister Corona Virus, only two people at time allowed on elevator or one house hold family! Good to know, so if is as example, I met the Military family! He, his wife, their older child (age fifteen) and their twins (age eleven), that is five people! Good to know the family can all at same time use elevator! All employees wearing their masks, all volunteers wearing their masks! Not sure of restaurant area as I have not try that area yet this stay!
