The Sterling Hotel

Great Birthday Experience!! I stayed at The Sterling for my birthday and it was amazing!! The location is everything!! So many restaurants and bars just 2 blocks away. The outside and inside of the hotel looked really pretty and clean. The suite was really big and very comfortable. The bathroom was gorgeous with marble everywhere! I The lighting was so great...my make up was on point lol Apart from the room, the staff was great and very helpful. I will definitely be returning!

Charming with Unmatched Service Excellent Location and a very friendly staff. We had an excellent time in Sacramento! Thank you for making our trip memorable. We will certainly be telling our friends about the Sterling and we look forward to coming back! We highly recommend.

Abandoned the booking it was so bad. Hotel looks good from the street but the area is littered with homeless people and with no information on where to eat or hear music we had to wander streets late at night. No parking is provided. The wifi is appalling in the room. The bathroom is rundown - they promote the baths but you’d never sit in it. The shower head dribbled. We booked for 4 nights and abandoned our booking after one night and returned to Napa. There was no one to even tell that we were leaving.

BEWARE!!! I stayed at the hotel for a wedding hosted by Wedgewood. This is a review of the hotel only. TERRIBLE experience. No staff. No care for the facilities or the guests. Literally one person who sits in a caged room from 8am to 4 pm. The hotel states the following in a confirmation email,"Our reduced on-site staff reflects our approach to operating more like an Airbnb, allowing you to enjoy a more private and independent stay." Translation: we couldn't care at all about customer service or, in fact, the hotel. I stayed for three nights...no maid service, no refilling of the minimal snack bar. Dirty glasses left on the one table on the porch from 3 nights prior (they were still there when I left this morning). Piles of trash left behind the bar in the lounge. A can of spray carpet cleaner left on the table in the hallway outside of my room. And (why not?) absolutely no hot water in the shower. Does that sound "more like an Airbnb" or a management group that just doesn't care? This is the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. There is also absolutely no attention to any care or detail. The facilities themselves are fine, but given the apparently lack of any care, that will not last long. A terrible choice. Would absolutely never return.

Great location near Music Circus Great location one block from Music Circus. We parked in the garage, had dinner at a nearby restaurant, then saw the play. The room was very quiet, clean, and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Will likely stay again.
