Disappointing Hotel ok, no maid service at all while we were there and we had to call down to request more towels daily as we were 2 adults and 2 kids in a family room. Reception staff were nice but really felt no frills. Rudy the barman was the best highlight as he shook a mean cocktail. The hotel seemed to be a favourite with dog owners which was fine apart them barking outside our balcony first thing in the morning. The location was a walk from the main area on the river walk but actually thought this was a good thing as I could imagine it being really noisy in the evenings. Loved San Antonio itself but think Indigo really need to up their game. Hotel pool only had 4 sun loungers and was tiny.

Good Location but Poor Quality The hotel has a good location on the riverwalk, with a nice walk into the downtown area. It also looks great, particularly at night thanks to some good lighting. However the rooms, the service and the restaurant/bar were disappointing- falling far short of the standard I expect from other Hotel Indigo stays. The restaurant/bar area was quiet (almost empty) throughout our stay. Considering the unsympathetic lighting and the rather untidy look - thanks to a large pile of patio cushions - it’s not surprising the area was not popular. The patio and pool area are maintained well but with no cushions on the patio furniture (thqnks to the pile indoors) it wasn't comfortable. Our room was spacious and had a nice, clean bathroom but was let down by poor maintenance. The balcony door, wardrobe and drawers were all old and faulty / difficult to close. Service at the reception desk was excellent but unfortunately not matched during our stay. We had a 4 person room, with our 2 kids however were continually left with only 2 towels, 2 glasses and 2 coffee cups. Easily rectified errors, but disappointing quality overall.

Hotel Indigo SATX We live in San Antonio but wanted to stay on the Riverwalk for a "staycation". We were very happy with the Hotel Indigo! The lobby was festively decorated for July 4th and the hotel had complimentary hot dogs and waters for the guests all weekend. Parking was easy and we walked to many of the well known places in SA-including the Briscoe Western Art museum and the Alamo. Breakfast at Fresca was lovely with nice service as well.

Restaurant Our waitress charged her to go meal on our ticket. She ignored us when we wanted an itemized receipt and was recording her tic tok videos, rude and rolled her eyes. The manager took it off bill and said they had had complaints but yet she is still there. That's against the LAW.

Dated but charming, with exceptional staff Checked in late with my friend for our reservation and was accommodated by Veronica who made what I thought would be a difficult process easy and simple, we were grateful. She was very friendly and bubbly and made us both laugh. The other desk attendant matthew was also excellent and offered great recommendations for dining and shopping since we needed advice on where to go, and he even gave us maps with restaurant and boutique locations and a river shuttle time schedule, so our lunch spot was easy to choose and get to. He also gave us a copy of the hotels restaurant menu, mentioned as one of the dining recommendations, which was great because after looking at it we ended up just eating there for dinner later on instead of on the Riverwalk again. Restaurant was slow at times but very good food and the bartender rudy was very good. Rooms were a nice size, sparse, low lighting, but I still don't remember thinking of them negatively. Beds were comfortable, bathroom felt clean. The next morning was easy if less accommodating mainly by cleaning ladies, but checkout wasn't bad, no late checkout which I didn't like, but overall we had a great night and a lovely experience. My friend has been to this company before but I haven't and I want to stay at more IHG hotels since they are newer to me compared to Hilton because I had such a great time.
