Not terrible, but not worth the money great location, front desk staff were nice and the lobby was really well-put together. The room was not great—we had a pool-facing room, where the only window in the room was looking out into the main hallway. We couldn’t have the blinds open once during our stay because people could see in. It was very noisy there too. The room was nice enough, but the toilet seat was stained yellow from other people’s pee (you could even see the splash marks). Overall not worth what we paid, even though it had some good aspects to it.

I would definitely come back. Service was great, the guy at the front desk, the guys at the valet, they’re all great, helpful, doesn’t matter we didn’t want any additional services, they still went above and beyond. Hotel was all right, it is right in front of the Riverwalk but at the end of the river, you still cam walk the riverwalk, see the restaurantes, or even hop on the boats, so location is super great. Beds are what you would expect on a hotel, elevators are a bit old but the lobby is very chic, they have a business center, a playroom, etc.

Great staff The location and staff were great. We really enjoyed the coffee shop and the game room. Parking can be a little difficult around the area, but Frank G was very helpful in giving advice and helping us figure out the best options. The rooms/common areas were a bit dated, but it was all clean and hospitable.

Thanksgiving Day excursion Upon approaching the entrance to the hotel we felt very safe and secure that we were met by the valet staff and we were shown to the main desk where the service was impeccable. We found the hotel lobby to be very clean and inviting. The room was very spacious and lots of natural light. Great customer service. Thank you… Daniel

Amazing Jay at The Gavel at the Riverwalk Plaza Hotel was very awesome. The service and hospitality that was shown to us while we are here was second to none. I am recommending to come visit and stay here while visiting San Antonio. We will be staying here everytime from now on.
