Bay Club Hotel & Marina

Lots of potential but was slightly disappointed We stayed in the king suite during our stay. We were very excited for this room and when we initially called in, the staff was very responsive and helpful. I had requested the downstairs version because it had a bigger patio but they said they couldn't guarantee it, only list it on the account. There are only 2 of these rooms and both were available. Even though I requested it, we ended up in the upstairs version with a much smaller patio. It is what it is. I was still excited for the room. The room was clean and the layout was very cool and different. Tons of windows and an amazing view. The major drawback was the AC. First off, it was not going when we got in. The room was insanely hot and muggy. The AC unit's are small AC units attached to the wall which are not adequate for a room that size with so many windows facing the sun. One of the AC units behind the couch, which we didn't even see until the last night, did not work, it just blew warm air. There were also no fans in the room at all. This left the entire room very hot the first not until the outside air finally cooled the room down. We left the AC on during the day the next day and when we got back, it was still very hot in the room as well as very muggy. The surrounding area is amazing. We stay on shelter island a couple of times a year. However, if I book the best room a hotel has to offer, I expect basic amenities like the AC to be efficient. The beds were so so, pretty firm but not bad. The extra blanket was awful, very rough and scratchy. The view of the harbor was amazing though. That was the best part. The room was surrounded with windows all around and there was tons of seating and space available. All in all, it was decent. The few things that were bad were very bad. Mainly the temperature of the room totally killed it for us because it made it difficult to sleep or spend time in the room.

We love the Bay Club My husband stayed at the Bay Club on Sunday, August 4, 2024. Our stay was outstanding. We got our favorite room with an amazing Marina view. We have three more stays booked this year.

Quiet and Friendly The hotel staff were friendly and answered all my questions. The room was spaciaous and the mini fridge was on the larger size so it was great to keep all my food. The Microwave was an added bonus. The pool areas was nice for relaxig after a long day of walking. Happy hour was great. The Ahi Tuna was fabulous.

Sdcc 2024 It was my annual sdcc trip that I attend to because of work. I’ve stayed here before and what I like about staying here is the staff. The hotel itself needs a lot of work.

Nice place to stay Nice hotel to stay, all staff is so friendly, good food with reasonable prices. My room was so quiet I was able to sleep so well. Nice place to walk across the street.
