Great stay Stayed here for 2 weeks on business. Over all a great stay the pool area is very nice to hang out at. The bed was big and very comfortable, the room could use a larger fridge. The check in staff was SUPER polite and helpful through out the stay. This is a MEPS hotel so there were alot of young kids around each day. Get a first floor room that walks out to the courtyard/pool area.

Old hotel that needs renovation and GM to attend the customers This hotel needs a renovation and first of all change the beds. You feel like if you are sleeping on a stone. The GM is very cold heart and doesn’t welcome you well. He waited for the maintenance employee to help me and my grandmother with our luggage, he said he had problems with his back.

Good Value and Central Located to all San Diego attractions We decided to spend Memorial Day weekend in San Diego and we like the location of this Marriott property as we used to stay at the nearby Residence Inn which now the City of San Diego is housing the homeless with and no longer a Marriott property. We like the central location right off the freeway and easy access to all of San Diego’s major attractions. Lobby was very large and the whole hotel was very clean and COVID friendly. We arrived early and given a room, all of the staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms are fairly large as we had a room with a balcony facing the pool area. There were a lot of families around the pool area and a few birthday parties going on as well. Was very nice seeing the kids and adults enjoying themselves in the 68 degree weather and splashing in the very large and clean pool. Only con was that there is plenty of parking in the area but at a $14 a night cost. The hotel is of good price value and in the medium range cost when comparing to the other hotels near the beach and downtown. All in all a very nice weekend and we will be back to this Marriott when visiting San Diego.

Clean & Convenient Spent the night on a weekend as we were visiting family. The hotel is clean, staff is helpful and friendly, and it is close to a lot of attractions. In 10 to 15 minutes, you can be at a number of things to do. The bed was great & room was nice.

just ok It's hard to give a fair review for an establishment that can not run business as usual because of COVID-19 restrictions but here is my assessment under the circumstances. Hotel was in a convenient location. Parking was plentiful but cost $14 per day which seems ridiculous to me but surrounding hotels charged even more. The lobby was nice and clean. The staff was friendly and attentive. The room was kinda small but clean. The beds were not that comfortable but not horrible. Non smoking hotel but had a covered smoking area which was nice. Had several entrances besides front lobby that was closer to our room so that was also nice. No housekeeping, no breakfast, and had to make an appointment to use the pool because of COVID-19. I understand the restrictions but the beach hotel we stayed at prior that week had no pool restrictions just mask required. The biggest reason for the 3 out of 5 was not COVID-19 related. Our sink over flowed twice. Had water running everywhere and it was sewer water so it was dirty and stunk. Called the front desk at 10pm and they said we would have to change rooms because they had no maintenance at night. I said aren't you going to come see about this now it's kinda an emergency and needs to be dealt with whether we move rooms or not. They said just put a bucket under it. Ummm ok I'll just take care of it myself and so I proceeded to grab a trashcan and empty water from sink to bathtub. I was a bit upset at the situation but they did comp my room that night. So considering Covid limitations which the staff cannot help my overall experience was not the best but not the worst I have ever had either. I honestly think this would be a great hotel without Covid restrictions.
