Not the most relaxing stay The parking was horrible almost the whole time you have to back your car into the parking garage since there’s big trucks parked outside because they can’t fit in it. The location was sketchy area and right next to freeway on-ramp so pretty loud. The walls are thin so you can hear everything including stomping above you all hours of the night. The breakfast is very generic and basic. The front desk staff isn’t too friendly or helpful. The beds were comfortable. It was an ok stay until the very last day when ants were all over the bathroom in the tub, walls ,floors, towels etc. The manager couldn’t offer another room since they were full and the other floors Also had ants. We had no option but to stay the night and pack all our things away. The only thing they offered was $50 off which is a joke when it’s $250 a night. We shouldn’t have been charged at all.

Strategic Location and up on a hill where it is quiet. This hotel is in kind of a quirky place. But it is a great location. They are behind a Storage place up on a hill above the streets. Very quiet. And the hotel is walking distance (maybe 1/4--1/3 of a mile) to the City Trolley. There is a parking lot at the Trolley station--but it will fill up by about 8:30AM during the week. The breakfast was sausage patties and powdered eggs with a large selection of breads, boiled eggs, and juices. The place is very affordable and well worth a stay while in San Diego. We will be back. PS--We found the shower curtain to be so light that it had a tendency to blow open during showers and wet the bathroom floor. Best to anchor the corners of the curtain when taking a shower.

Homey not fancy! This little La Quinta is crammed into a neighborhood corner, and parking is a little problematic. They don’t have some of the vanities that the bigger La Quinta do, but the mattresses are fantastic. The customer service is spot on. And everyone was very friendly!

Comfortable room Parking is difficult. The spaces are for compact cars. The breakfast is very limited; eggs, sausage, bread, cereal. They did run out of food on a busy morning an hour before the breakfast was supposed to close. The room was clean minus a rust stain on the bathtub. The king room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. We would stay here again.

A vacation nightmare Under massive renovations and assigned rooms that were clearly being worked on. They allowed cable people into our room while we were away with a do not disturb sign up and replaced a barely working remote with one that didn't work at all and broke the cable while they were at it.
