A great week in San Diego I was in San Diego for the marathon and spent a week at the Comfort Inn Old Town San Diego. I found the hotel a great location, very clean & friendly staff. A big shout out to Angel who was very kind and helpful throughout my stay. Angel is an asset to the hotel who always went above and beyond.

Definitely Recommend We loved this hotel. Traditional set up with pool in the middle and rooms around. Rooms comfortable, great nights sleep for all of us. Short drive from the airport. Short walk around the corner to Old Town which was lovely. Quick access onto the freeway for trips to the beach and outlet. Great breakfast included. All staff lovely. Would recommend asking for rooms where you can see the pool from your door. They originally put us a little further round the corner and the rooms were not as nice. Also ask for a room not overlooking the freeway. Those rooms were noisy.

Property stolen when house keeper let a stranger into room when we were not there she stated to manager Don’t stay in this choice hotel my expensive sunglasses stolen after housekeeper let someone into room She told manager thinking it was their room . They won’t do anything about it . sex workers outside hotel and use hotel with their clients one approached my husband as she didn’t see me in the car . Awful place and not a nice area did not feel safe

nice bedding for an average hotel The pool was clean but towels were really no bigger than a dish towel. The bed was very nice, clean linens and great pillows. Under the beds we found old candy, a pair of socks, and potato chips by the bed frame. The refrigerator had a small freezer compartment---great. The biggest issue was the "free breakfast" until 930a. At 845a on both ams, there was no coffee and no juice. Staff said "we've been really busy". The eggs, sausage, waffle maker, vanilla yogurts, dry cereals, little muffins were satisfactory. Everything had to be asked for as it ran out, ie milk. The location is great. Too bad some jerk pulled the fire alarm at 11p setting it off for 20 min of hell in the halls! Bring your own shampoo/conditioner!

Unpleasant Experience During my stay, I had a particularly unpleasant experience. The shower in my room broke, and there was no technician available to fix it. When I reported the problem tonthe responsible staff member, I was informed that it would not be possible to switch rooms. The solution offered was for me to take a shower in another room and then return to mine, wich was extremely inconvenient and uncomfortable. The Confort Inn San Diego doesn’t meet the experience of a comfortable and well-maintained hotel.
