Great facilities but no seats at the pool The rooms are amazing and I’ve gotten the best sleep I’ve had in months in this bed. Unfortunately, they sell day passes at the pool. So, be aware that you will spend a small fortune to stay there and end up not able to get a seat at the pool because you are surrounded by people who paid $136 for the seats that should be for guests only. The pool was crowded yesterday 8/9/24 and there were still 2 public guest passes available online. This is disgusting. The Grand used to be a luxury hotel. We began coming here when it first opened in 2007 and due to the unfortunate practice of allowing anyone off the street to take the seats at the pool has tarnished that experience. You could book a cabana at a cost of $1,000 per day which is insane. Especially considering what the cost is to stay at the hotel. Leydi at the front desk did try to assist me with this problem but I was told that the Food and Beverage Directors are in charge of how many day passes are sold. They need to do better. Niel and Leydi were both helpful, pleasant and so apologetic. And, I feel for them since their hands are tied on an issue that should not exist at a hotel or this caliber.

5 star jewel in Del Mar Grand Del Mar is 5 star all the way! Been visiting the hotel for 10 years with my family. Beautiful location, great pools, SoCal relaxing vibe, spacious comfy rooms and best in class service. Thank you to Abukhar and Neil for taking great care of us.

Something Wrong Nowadays Needs a management overhaul and return to 6-star service. The forecourt staff are psychotic, need wholesale change, the lobby lounge strangely insincerely over friendly one minute, then coldly unhelpful the next. Something wrong at this hotel nowadays.

Top Notch stay Beautiful resort and golf course. The staff took very good care of us. Shout out to Andrew and Ryan with the transportation team and Chris in the golf pro shop, the playing lesson was fantastic ! All the meals and drinks were delicious too, I will be back as soon as I can!

Beautiful La Jolla Hotel Very beautiful property. Our balcony overlooked the grounds on the North West side of the property. Ordered a Jalapeno Margarita and enjoyed all 3 pools. The valet staff even loaded up umbrellas and beach towels into our car before we left for the beach! The overall service and help from every staff member including the valet,bellstaff, front desk, concierge, housekeeping and pool staff were exceptional. And every empoyee strived for excellent service. Thanks guys.
