Pleasantly Surprised The gentleman that checked me in was EXTREMELY pleasant!!! Even if I didn't stay at this property during my next visit to San Francisco, I would go by just to visit with him. Regarding the hotel, there is nothing extravagant about the property. However, if you don't need over-the-top opulence, then you'll be just fine with this hotel. There was no refrigerator or air conditioning in my room. I don't mention this to complain, but instead only to be informative!!! I didn't require either. If you know the weather in San Francisco, A/C ain't a priority! My room had a desk, desk chair, and living room style chair. There was enough space to store clothing, as if I were going to live there. The amount of closet space was enough to accommodate a family of 50! The bathroom was quaint - it had all I needed, and a shower. My room was on the 5th floor, and was accessible via an elevator or stairs. I had a TV, Wi-Fi, and a comfortable bed. Considering my being in San Francisco during the biggest technical conference in the world, the room was pleasantly priced. I can't say that I recommend this hotel, only because we all have different requirements and taste - one size doesn't fit all. However, I will have no hesitation to stay at this property during my next visit to San Francisco. For what I needed from a hotel stay, on a scale of 1 to 10 (best), I would rate my experience no less than a 9!!!!

DO NOT BOOK! disgusting, no heating, no towel, no internet The hotel has no heating! The System no working it’s 13:00 am and it’s not working nothing. It doesn't have towels, it's dirty, it doesn't have internet and the area is dangerous. Don't book, it's a crap hotel, I wouldn't even want the room for free. They can't provide a towel or blanket, because housekeeping isn't waiting until the next day. DO NOT BOOK!

A hidden gem, a gracefully aging old lady! Beautiful old hotel in tenderloin. Good transport links to the whole city. I personally loved the decor in the foyer. Not a slick modern hotel by any means but comfortable, clean an aging beauty! Can't fault the staff or the service all was excellent. we stayed here during a storm and the staff were so accomodating and friendly.

Nice and tidy hotel Nice and cozy hotel with good service. Rooms are clean and tidy. Noise level from being in the middle of a big city is almost non-apparent. Placed in a bit of a rough neighboorhood, but once you’re in the hotel, you don’t feel it or see it at all. If you just avoid using Eddy street to and from the hotel, you should be all good :-)
