Comfortable, Friendly, Good Location Incredibly friendly staff, very good location (10 min walk to many touristy places including Pier 39, Hyde St cable car stop etc), and comfortable rooms (we stayed in a suite). The breakfast was good, too. We were disappointed that there was no kettle in the room; they have a water/tea/coffee station in the main lobby area. Would definitely stay again for a short stay if we returned to SF.

Great Staff, Bad Location, Get Ready to Pay a Premium For Parking and a View This hotel is doing what they can with what they have but Fisherman's Wharf isn't what it used to be. The hotel itself is nice, the staff is outstanding, but the lack of a pool, either indoor or outdoor, is a lost opportunity. Worse, I bought the daily parking package and I honestly still don't know what I got for it other than something the manager told me about having guaranteed, priority parking. There's a big sign out front touting valet parking for $65.00 plus tax per day so I doubt they'd turn you away if you checked in without the parking package but hey, I could be wrong and I didn't want to gamble. Likewise, I paid extra for a bay view and I'm glad I did because if we had one of the internally facing rooms we'd have opened our curtains to see the room across from us and this red, cement floor below. That wouldn't have made us happy. That said, what they call a bay view is really a "pier view" because the piers across the way obstruct the view of the bay. It does produce a cool optical illusion where Alcatraz appears to be perched on top of them (see the attached picture of the view from our room). Was the daily parking package and bay view worth the expensive premium we paid? Yes, because I wouldn't want to risk parking and have that internal view. But again, the area has gone so downhill that without Ghirardelli Square it wouldn't be worth visiting these days. I'd consider staying in the Holiday Inn Express located north just over the Golden Gate Bridge near Sausalito. It's more spread out, in a better neighborhood but you can still access San Francisco if you have to.

Not the best The hotel is clean and tidy and had a lot of young tourists who were banging their doors late in the evening. This was reported to the reception, who did go to ask the relevant people in room 266 to quiten down. Breafast finished at 9.30am and no bar at the property. Try the Riyu 200 yrds away instead.

Holiday_Inn_Express_Suites_San_Francisco Fishermen wharf Resort Fee What Resort Fee!!!! On my initial review I gave a a good rating but after checking out I was advised of a $25 a day($75) resort fee WOW NO ONE AT THE FRONT DESK advised me about this charge upon check in Nor was it in clear plain view when I made reservations. I do travel quite a bit and This is totally unfair and now my opinion is totally different from before. It’s one thing to see it in clear view I am certainly requesting a refund of the resort fee and if I get it I will take my review down or I would not stay here ever again. Plus breakfast items being replenished was very slow with the breakfast sausage, syrup very small automatic pancake maker and trying to get a table to eat is well good Luck the elevator well only one working well take the stairs takes a very long time . As far as the rooms overlooking the street very noisy early evening and early morning as far as the charge a bit too high breakfast only til 930 waay to early to close it It should go til 1030 I would like someone to contact me

Great location and nice rooms Booked this for its location in San Francisco but it turned out to be such a good value hotel. Breakfast was basic but can’t argue with it being included in the price. Location is great for Fishermans wharf and the start of the hop on hop off bus. In a couple of mins walk you could see great views of the Golden Gate Bridge as well as Alcatraz Rooms were spacious and clean.
