Dated but Comfortable The rooms at the Mark Hopkins certainly need a makeover. It reminded me of the Drake Hotel in Chicago. Therein lies the charm. Corner room was spacious with outstanding views. Gym was well stocked. iHG elites are entitled to free drink coupons at Top of the Mark. Certainly worthwhile since cocktails are $23-$25. Late checkout as a Platinum member was honored without hassle. Walkers arriving on BART at Powell Street are in for a steep uphill climb.

Don't miss this one! Beautiful hotel, inside and out. You felt like each employee knew you. The food at the restaurant was very good. Top of the Mark, magnificent views if it isn't foggy. Everything about this hotel is pricey but if you can afford it you'll enjoy it!

Great stay Beautiful hotel. We had a double bed room in the 11th floor. Nice views of the city but a higher floor would have better views if the bay. We visited Top of the Mark to see the view but didn’t eat here. Worth checking out if it’s a clear day or night. The hotel sits on Nob Hill so if you’re walking, keep that in mind. It’s a steep walk to the hotel. Cable car stop is close by which was nice.

Beautiful Hotel This is a beautiful historic hotel with amazing staff. We stayed in room 1204 corner one bedroom suite and the views of the bay and city were stunning. The suite was gorgeous - bed very comfortable and bathroom divine. We also had club privileges and the club is on lobby level shared with Nob Hill Restaurant. It was lovely - breakfasts, evening snacks (like a meal) and cocktails with great coffee, espresso, capaccino, water, soda, snacks during the day. I am sharing some pictures of our club experience. I am a very well traveled person and have not stayed at IHG properties previously but have stayed at Mandarin Oriental, Ritz-Carlton, Grand Hyatt in Asia This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful safe location. If you want a modern hotel - might not be for you but you would miss out on the charm of this beauty.

Do Not Stay - Poor Customer Service * Miscommunication This is not a good hotel because of the poor service. That matters. I've stayed here multiple times, and like the rest of SF, its not great. I have to write more about HOW TERRIBLE it is, the food is overpriced and below average for a 4 star hotel. The customer service is not good
