Very creepy building These rooms need to be updated . Spooky to, all San Jose to feels this way though. Like get out! Maybe have to give it another shot some other time in the summer. We want to go to great america for my daughter this year so maybe need to pay a high price so I can see if that will help with the experience.

Nice, dated A very nice property. It’s super!!! Quiet during Covid. The rooms are nice and quiet, but bathrooms and the technology are pretty dated. It’s funny....lobby bar closed “due to covid”. 13 feet away the hotels bar and grill are open. Hmm? Not sure how the virus is bad in the lobby but not at the grill. Odd. Very nice staff. Good night sleep.

Stunningly bad The decline of this Fairmont is almost unbelievable. It's not that it "didn't live up to expectations" for a premium hotel. It's that it is just bad. Like, more or less what you would expect from a mid-range Best Western in the middle of nowhere. Except, at the BW probably the phone and the AC would work and the people there might care if they didn't. I see that the Marriott has a canned, "it's all because of Covid, we hope you try again" response to everything. Let me be clear that none of the run-down, non-functioning, ugly, lack of service that I'm referring to is due to Covid. It's due to Marriott mgmt. I won't be back.

Good Service, Great Architecture, Amazing Location My family stayed here for just two nights as we were attending a party in the ballroom area of the hotel. We figured that our trip would also give us a great opportunity to explore San Jose. We did not expect to have the amazing proximity we did to everything that San Jose had to offer. It truly made our experience so much better. The service at the hotel was amazing and all the employees were extremely kind and likable. The ballroom though was truly the highlight of our visit. It boasted huge grounds, plenty of room for lavish tables and decorations, and the dance floor was truly stunning. I could not have imagined anything better and it truly took my breath away.

Nice Hotel Downtown San Jose - Remodeling Getting Done We went to the Fairmont Hotel in downtown San Jose. This is a very nice luxury hotel to stay at. They are currently remodeling the area, such as redoing the lobby bar. Service is good here. Rooms are nicely appointed. The location is ideal to walk to the park, restaurants, convention center, and other thigs in the San Jose area.
