Great spot for families! Very nice resort. Great 2 bedroom suites for families. Nice kitchen. Free laundry. Highly recommend. Beach isn't great for swimming. Large pools. Nice swim up bar. Happy hour (2 for 1) daily from 3-5. San Jose is a great down. The Art Walk on Thursday nights is a must!

Beautiful destination and restort. This is a GORGEOUS resort. We were a family of 4 doing a condo exchange and had a Jr. Suite. It is a one-bedroom with a king-size bed, the living area has a queen pull-out couch (which the teenage boys said was comfortable), a large bathroom, and some shelf space. It comes with a coffee maker, a mini-fridge, a safe, and cabinet space. It would have been great to at least have a small microwave. We also had a lovely balcony with a table and 2 chairs. We were comfortable in that space for a week. The bed was comfortable, and the house cleaning staff were wonderful, even providing turn-down service. They communicated through text easily if they had a question or if we needed more of something. It was nice to speak directly with someone. There are 6 pools. 2 are up in the 4 building (1 family and one 21+) and then the big central part of the resort is the 3 infinity pools. There is another family pool off on a side but we didn't go there. There were plenty of chairs but you may not always get to be directly next to the pool if you wait until lunchtime to go down. The pool attendants were great. Sebastian was the most helpful and attentive one we had. He moved our umbrellas with the sun and provided pillows for our comfort. He was checking in regularly! Know that you can't swim in the ocean here. You can walk down to it and along it but no swimming is allowed. There are other beaches you can go to for swimming if you want that. The food is delicious and there are good options. It is NOT cheap though. $20+ a dish so plan ahead. We at breakfast (waffle sounds good but it tiny compared to the other food options) at the restaurant next to the pool one day, lunch by the pool 2 times, and the rest of the time we either ate food we bought at the La Comer grocery store (15 minute walk or $9/150mxn taxi ride) like cereal, fruit, and water (no water is provided free) or we went to one of the MANY restaurants that are a 3 minute walk from the resort. The resort is right on a main hotel road and there is a shopping center across the street with wonderful restaurant options. The Italian place is amazing (I wanted to drink their pesto from a cup it was so good), the ice cream place was ok (get the stuff at the Starbucks at the resort instead, it is better). The crepes and waffles from the bistro were good. The waffles are smaller so if you have teenage boys maybe don't go there. La Mexican was delicious. Latino8 was also very good. Spicy Tuna Sushi was also delicious. We also ordered UberEats for Corleone Pizza and JJ Burger and they were both amazing. If you do UberEats, know you have to go out to the gate to meet the driver. We also went up the road a bit farther, past the massage spas, to a local palapa restaurant called La Manzanita. They are local and the food is DELICIOUS, cheap, and easy to get for takeaway. They have a few tables but we got food to go. They only take MXN cash though so plan accordingly. We did agree to do the Hilton Vacation Club presentation for the FB credit and it was worth it. We didn't even take the whole time after our great conversation. We also booked a sunset and sail trip through the concierge after Emilio made a recommendation. It was also very fun and beautiful. Overall, I would return to this resort again in a heartbeat but just hope for a room with a bit more of a kitchen, especially if you have teenage boys who eat a lot!

Ladies get away Our stay is always nice when we stay at Cabo Azul. From the moment we step off transportation, we are greeted with helpful staff. Cesar was very helpful and friendly. thank you. We did arrive early, but it gave us time to go get groceries and have lunch. It took a while to get, next time pack a separate bathing suit from your luggage to wait for your room by the pool. Other than that check-in was smooth. Poolside is always nice. It was a little busy the week we were there, getting up very early to get your spot is a must, if the resort is full. The only problem or drawback we discovered was having your Tumblr for your water or to keep your drinks cool , was not allowed. They kept telling us to hide them, which does not make sense. It’s not an inclusive resort we’re able to-buy our own snacks, especially when we have full kitchens. To have something as simple as a Tumblr for keeping those expensive drinks cold, it was almost like being harassed holding it. It appears the waiters speak up to the security staff. I think they just want us to buy their drinks and food by the pool. Still when it’s hot and humid those drinks get hot right away so being able to have something to keep them cold should be allowed. The landscape on the grounds of the resort are always pristine and beautiful and well kept the landscape staff do a beautiful job of keeping everything so nice . you can’t use cash buying food or drinks you have to use your card or change to your room., but they will take your tips in cash lol

Best Vacay! My kind and generous partner brought me to Cabo Azul for my 65th birthday. We've been fortunate enough to come to Cabo many times over the last 10 years but this tops them all! When we arrived on Saturday, 20 July, we knew we were early for our arrival by a couple hours. Once the 3 o'clock check-in time passed, I was getting tired of waiting so I went to the front desk to check on the status. The gentleman told me he was going to see if there's anything he can do. He asked if I would be willing to take a room on the ground floor instead of the second floor. He said that it would have an adults only pool right outside of our door. How can I say no to that?! It ended up being one of the best rooms we've ever stayed in. Room 4106! Similar to an apartment, but no kitchen, Which was fine. The room was beautiful, spotless, cool and comfortable. The bed was firm and very nice. Plenty of pillows and extra linens. The extra little touches of lighting behind the mirrors and behind the headboard Made it that much more special. Even though we were pretty close to the front reception area, it was very quiet! But the pool outside of our patio was the topper! A large uncomfortable, hot tub was also available. Neither of us have ever been much into the swimming part of vacations, even with lovely pools and amenities, but this was different. We were in the pool every morning and every night. Beautiful lounges and private cabanas surrounded the pool area. Towels were available, too. Poolside menu was very good. I love kids and at the same time, the adult only pool was a treat! The water was a little warm sometimes, but it was so peaceful and the surrounding area was aesthetically Perfect. Can't say enough about the staff! Every person we encountered was nice and friendly and willing to help , checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. My partner also treated me to a couples massage, which was a huge luxury! The spa had some construction going on, so they called us the night before to see if we would be OK with moving it to the beach side cabanas. Luckily, we got a day with a breeze off the ocean, which helped, and the massage was top-notch! Paulina was my masseuse and she was amazing! Lying there, hearing the waves and feeling the breeze while being treated to a wonderful massage, was the epitome of luxury! Could not believe how lucky I am! The spa amenities were so lovely and a treat in every way! They even brought me another birthday treat while I was relaxing in the hot tub/cold plunge area. Cucumbers for your eyes, wet cloths for your head, lotions and soaps galore. Not to mention everything you need to take a shower and do your hair after you're done relaxing. Could not have asked for anything more! The food at the resort was very good. Javier's was lovely and we enjoyed a delicious beach side dinner. Another birthday dessert and a wonderful evening. Cabo Azul is located across the street from a lovely little shopping area with some restaurants and interesting little stores. Close to other very nice hotels where we ventured for other meals. I cannot say enough about this place and I'm hoping that I am lucky enough that I can come back one day. Best vacation I think I've ever had! Grateful and thankful and fortunate and lucky!!

Watch the bill This is the third time we have been here and it is a really nice resort. You need to definitely check your bill. They miss charge on purpose. Very dissatisfied by the bill service. They change the amount of the tips. You can’t swim in the ocean as well.
