One of a kind!!! This has been our favorite hotel in San Juan so far! The service at the hotel was great beginning at the check in and bar/restaurants servers. The room was beautiful and the bathroom is big!!! (Which is a plus for us) . You have a lot of options near by for nightlife and food but honestly you don’t have to leave the hotel because you have everything you need there. The pool was amazing and the beachfront access is a huge plus. We will definitely be back!

The Best Vacation Ever! I cant begin to describe how amazing this place is, youre by the beach where the water is warm, the pool is amazing, the breakfast is spectacular and our room attendant Hilton is an absolute delight! Every time he comes to clean our room he leaves the towels in the shapes of animals that are so adorable! He even made one with our personal blankets! Not to mention the rooms are always spotless when we arrive. You can tell when someone loves their job and Hilton LOVES his job and is absolutely amazing at it. He welcomes with a smile that lights up a room. I couldnt have asked for a better stay.❤️

Near airport. Nice pool for kids. Booked a suite and upon check in downgraded to a cheaper suite without telling us. Apparently our suite was not clean yet. At 8pm. We were comped dinner while we waited for the housekeeping which was ok. The club area of the suites was poorly or never stocked. Nice pool but no adult area or hours apparently. The hotel offers day passes to their pool which would explain the congestion. Beach area is a short walk and more peaceful. Food in all restaurants was ok. I needed to use pique often which they did have on request. I might stay again but won’t pay extra for the not so suite experience.

Lovely place with great views. Pleasantly surprised at every small detail.Staff is warm and friendly, rooms are very modern and clean. Don't limit yourself to eating at the restaurants on-site, as there's so many choices within a 10 minute drive. Just allow yourself to get in the water and enjoy!

Tourist Etiquette in a fantastic resort! The Royal Sonesta does not disappoint again! This resort is beautiful! The pool and beach are simply incredible, the staff, Jenni and Diego by the pool were awesome and welcome us back each time as if we were family. Some reviews I've read seem to punish the hotel staff for tourist "etiquette". There are no smoking signs everywhere and it's not up to the staff to remind tourists to adhere to the rules. Also as a couple who enjoys relaxing by the pool, we don't like listening to the "f" bomb and "mf" bomb being used every other word loudly. This is a family resort so instead of blaming the resort for people's clothing attire etc, perhaps we should look at how we behave in a public atmosphere and be aware of our surroundings and where etiquette is important and valued. This resort is excellent, and after another visit I can't find one critique. The only thing that has changed is the valet fellas used to open the doors for you outgoing and incoming. This time I found they were in their phones more than anything else. A bit disappointing. BTW when a staff member politely tells you that the cabanas are for rent, why argue with them?? Get off them! Or rent them. Again, please exercise your tourist etiquette at any vacation destination. This place is nothing short of a 5 star! Food was amazing by the pool and our morning breakfast. The beds were excellent, pillows a little soft but many. And the staff service is exceptional! See you soon!
