First Visit in 1996, Second Visit in 2021...Both Wonderful! Lovely property, charming rooms and friendly service...a great stop on the way up or down the coast! Some areas of the rooms could be refreshed a little, but since it's a country feel theme, it didn't bother us. We would stay again!

Apple Farm a shadow of its former self. Having traveled to San Luis Obispo over many years, we decided to give the Apple Farm a try for a mid July 3 night stay. Given all the wonderful meals and visits we had over the years we thought we would like this place. We do like it’s proximity to downtown as we walked to dinner twice during our stay. I made my reservations online via their website which worked great. I was disappointed they did not disclose the restaurant was only open for meals Thursday - Sunday from 7:00AM to 2:00 PM. It took reading the reviews on Trip Advisor to see that the restaurant would be closed for much of our stay and the Gift Shop was closed for remodeling. Also the Jacuzzi was closed due to damage. After finding this out I made a call to see if my rate could be reduced, but was told “ wow you have a great rate and you would need to speak to a manager”. No offer of a better room or to connect me with a manager. I had asked for a quiet room and when checking in ask for a ground floor single story room. At first the desk clerk said that is what we were getting. However, she said she had made a mistaken and we were in a second floor unit (no elevator) with a direct view of US 101 on-ramp. The room was quite small for what I consider US standards. No overhead light in the room, both bedside lamps had issues, switch broken on one, very dim bulb on the other. The toilet was clogged which a call to front desk fixed. The room has a small refrigerator which was placed in the closet such that the door to the closet would not close and the closet door blocked the pathway . After my first shower I came out to discover the bathroom floor flooded and the bath mat soaked because the weather strip was deductive. . They were not offering any maid service but would come empty trash and bring new towels. The AC worked well but was not need after the first night. One of the two front windows would not open. There was no literature on local events or things to do in the room and the lobby had no local interest info either. The sheets and towels were very nice and while the bed was to bouncy for our taste. My local friends said the new owners of this property have a history of buying property and running it into the ground, which appears to be what is happening here. Needless to say we won’t be back to this hotel.

Breakfast at the Apple farm Inn We had a breakfast at the Apple Farm Inn in San Luis Obispo and quality was horrible. Their potatoes were stale and bad, their scrambled egg was not good, the price was so hi for the quality, I believe they should change their cooks. People are wasting their money there. Their muffin wad everything, but muffin, we couldn’t find any single blueberry in it, God knows what kind of powdered used. I hope the owners consider my review and take an action. I wish them the best business in future.

Huge Disappointment This once charming hotel was a huge disappointment. It’s obvious new management is in place and it’s not being kept up. Jacuzzi has been down for a long time. Carpet in rooms need to be replaced. Beds are awful. No housekeeping unless requested day of. Lobby is tiny, no snacks in lobby just coffee and tea. Worse of all restaurant is closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Open only Thur-Mon unti 2:00 pm. This once favorite place will no longer be

Great Stay! This inn is adorable! Beautiful property and nice rooms. We reserved the family suite in Trellis Court that included 1 king bed, and a separate room with 2 double bed. The room was clean, spacious, and the beds were super comfortable! Best night sleep in a while. Rooms also had AC, a fire place, and two TVs. Plenty of parking and close to shops and restaurants. We plan on staying here again in the future.
