Relax day with massage. I went to Madonna to celebrate my sister’s birthday with some friends. We made an appointment online for the massage, and when you get there, they give you a paper to choose the areas you prefer to focus on during the massage. They prepare everything for you inside a closet with your name and a robe. Then you can shower after the massage. When you get a massage, you automatically can enjoy the pool for the day and also buy good drinks. I’m definitely going back, either to celebrate another birthday or just to have a relaxing day with friends.

Not the wedding venue of my dreams My fiancé and I were considering the Madonna in for our wedding. Kristen was unenthusiastic, unaccommodating, and you know when you can just tell someone who's not interested in anything you're saying? I wish she gave me contract before rushing me to pay the $500 deposit which I did not get back. There's no communication between reservations and the banquet/events department. I felt rushed to pay the deposit in order to reserve my weekend which the rooms ended up being booked another wedding party so I asked to change the date one day after I paid the deposit. She said I would have to forfeit the $500 and pay a new $500 deposit. What a scam. I'm glad I went with a different venue because this one doesn't care, at least the employee didn't. I grew up in San Luis Obispo and loved the Madonna Inn but after this experience, I probably will not go back.

Odd Legend This is supposed to be a classic gem in CA. I found it somewhat creepy and couldn’t understand what the fuss is about. The food was OK, but I think the legend is better than the reality. Really nothing special, but it was very busy so I’m guessing a lot of people like it, perhaps once!!!

The Madonna Inn is magical! The Madonna Inn is as magical, mystical, and quirky as we expected it to be! We felt relaxed and beyond happy the moment we arrived. And the staff are all incredibly cheerful and helpful! We especially loved Andi in the cafe and Jamie D in the dining room. They were so lovely and added extra sparkle to our meals. We’ll be back!

Very interesting "Pony Room" design, including a Merry-Go-Round horse. Disgraceful carpet with large, ugly stains. Just a brief overview: +Premium-plus price for an average room, albeit in a prime Coastal CA location. +Comfortable, fresh bedding. +Disgraceful carpet with large, ugly stains.+Lots of floor space. +Very interesting room design, including a Merry-Go-Round horse. +It seems that it was decorated 40+ years ago and never updated. +All rooms are widely different from one another. +Save your money, do a virtual visit via their Web site, or stop by and peek into the lobby Men's room for a surprise. (Get your mind out of the gutter!)
