Didn’t enjoy our stay very much. This hotel is very tired and not up to Hilton standards. It is located in an industrial area with no close places to eat. The window curtains had tears, carpet was worn out and the bath mat had a large hole in it. The employees were very nice and breakfast was good. We will not likely stay here again.

Clean hotel Definitely recommend to stay here, very clean rooms, good breakfast, and quiet. The staff was very friendly an accommodating. The hotel is across from California State University San Marcos. Convenient location to downtown San Marcos.

Just Right Stayed here 2 nights to attend a wedding nearby. Price was nice. We found it clean and comfortable. Staff was great. Loved the free breakfast, especially the waffles! Fitness room is small but everything worked. Location felt safe, gas station with awesome snacks and liquor just steps away. Tons of restaurants nearby. Biggest thing to be aware of is that it is a dog friendly hotel, so there is noise from dogs at all times of day. It didn't bother us, they were pretty quiet through the night. I would stay here again.

Skip this hotel if you can Skip this hotel. It is close to CSU San Marcos, if you need to be there. But it is substandard in every way. Old, one slow elevator, very noisy from freeway and inadequate sound proofing. You will hear doors slamming all night long. Beds are hard and don’t seem to meet normal Hampton Inn standard. As a plus, there are a number of dead shrubs to enjoy on your way in. Apparently they are just milking this tired property because there are few options in San Marcos.

Location location location Perfect location for everything you might want to do. Restaurants and wedding venue very close by. Carlsbad outlets and beach less than 20 minutes away. Easy parking! Nice to have a sofa in the rooms as well as a microwave oven and refrigerator!
