Bug infestation caused serious skin condition in toddler Stay Away! Bug infestation caused severe skin condition in our toddler daughter!! Staff was no help and failed to address our concerns. TLDR; Our family stayed in room 103, King Suite, at the San Pedro DoubleTree, from 10/3/24 - 10/7/24; - During our stay, we saw multiple large spiders in the room and the carpeting of the entire sweet was sticky throughout; - Upon checkout, I alerted the front desk of the spider and carpet concerns so that they could be treated before the next guest; - On the car ride home from the DoubleTree, our 3 year old daughter started to complain about itching; - When we arrived home, we inspected our daughters body and noticed multiple clusters of bug bites on her back, shoulder, and stomach; - On 10/8/24, I called DoubleTree management to report the bites and belief that they came from bed bugs at the hotel. I left a voicemail that was not returned; - On 10/9/24, I called DoubleTree again to report the multiple bites on our daughter and belief that they were from bed bugs. That same day I sent multiple photos that were taken of our daughter over the course of 3 days, as well as a video of a mite or some other insect that had latched onto our luggage from our stay; - Randa offered a one night refund and refund for 4 days of parking, which we have not recieved; - On 10/9/24, DoubleTree conducted an inadequate inspection of room 103 and now claims no infestation is present. Notably, the single page report is deficient in many ways as it does not indicate what areas of the room were inspected, does not include inspection for any pest other than bed bugs, and fails to provide overview of what tests were completed or any photos; - DoubleTree is now relying on this deficient report to claim they have done their part and have inferred that my husband and I are liars about the origin of our daughter's bites; - Our daughters 15 bites worsened over time and has now broken out into severe impetigo. The doctors our daughter has treated with confirmed this condition arose from the bug bites sustained at the hotel and believe they are either bed bugs or an infectious mite that can cause scabes; My husband and I are extremely disappointed with this experience and are taking these concerns public because of the absolute lack of accountability. We hope no other family has to suffer like we have.

Not up to HiltonDoubletree standards This hotel is old, tired and dirty. The rooms are not clean, don’t take off your socks, or The carpets Will turn your feet black! Just so gross! The bathrooms are ancient. Pitted faucets, dirty streaked tubs, And broken missing woodwork. The dining room is disgraceful. Menus are on dirty copy Paper, and the leather chair seats are all ripped The only doubletree we have ever stayed at that Charges for am coffee! The only thing this hotel offers is a free shuttle service.

HORRIBLE experience at double tree san Pedro Me and my family of 6 stayed at the Double tree hotel before we boarded our cruise, the hotel has a smell and the room wasn't all that clean tub was left dirty with pet hair all over the room, the wall paper was pealing off the wall and the room had a smell. The Front desk lady who is employed their named Elizabeth was very nice and had good customer service . I had talked to a lady named Monica and she is very rude&loud. And there is a security guard who works Friday and Saturday morning is very helpful with a good attitude. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to stay at they can do much better especially Monica she needs to work on her customer service because it's horrible need to upgrade since it's by the water that's why I give one star

3 star at best Decent hotel but certainly not up to Hilton standards. This place is old and needs an update. Wallpaper peeling off the walls. Windows are old and screens falling out. Not very insulated for sound so book a top floor room otherwise you hear the peeps above you. Overall ok if you get a great price otherwise it's a midlevel 3 star

Perfect for the night before a cruise Spent one night here before heading out for a cruise. I don't know why there are so many bad reviews. Okay the bed is odd -- feels like it still has old bed springs. But the place is clean, the staff is very nice, the rooms are comfortable and roomy, the shuttle to the port is free. I'll stay here every time I take a cruise out of LA.
